The cat who came home

The large orange tabby with a broken tail left the cozy retreat of my Aunt's home in rual Indiana in 2005. He had the world and fancy feast at his slighest wim, but left, without a trace, one cold winter Thanksgiving night. The king of the house, Pie was loved and cherished as the only feline in the small ranch house family. We cried and cried when he left, looking everywhere in the community and other farms. Pie was gone, our hearts were broken. 1 year and one month later, Pie, came to the door while we were baking "pies" for Christmas. He opened the door with his large paws, and came in and stayed. Pie is home.
