So, do any of you ever purchase Lush's Biofresh masks? Which ones have you tried? Which ones work for you? I have only ever tried one, which is Catastrophe Cosmetic. I've used it three times so far and I'm not sure that it's done much for my skin. However, I think I have some hormonal issues going on, which are causing my current breakouts. I will say that Catastrophe Cosmetic smells divine. I wish Lush would make more products with this scent. It is a yummy floral scent that makes me feel so relaxed. For that reason, I would say the mask works for me. Only time will tell what it does for my skin.

My two tried-and-true favorites are Love Lettuce and Cosmetic Warrior. I've also tried Catastrophe Cosmetic, Cupcake, and BB Seaweed, but they either didn't do anything or made my face break out more. I have to agree that Catastrophe Cosmetic smells really good! I wish it worked better for my face. Maybe it will when I'm a little older and less acne-prone.

I've only tried Cupcake. I bought it because it smelled divine, but it really didn't do anything magical for my face. However, my SO swears by it. He says it really helps calm his oily and blemish-prone skin. (Let me just say, the first time I came home and caught him in the bathroom with a face mask on was priceless!) Mask of Magniminty works really well on my skin, so I haven't experimented with any other biofresh. I am interested in trying BB Seaweed and Catastrophe Cosmetic eventually.

I haven't tried any Biofresh yet. I keep meaning to but the masks (and the amount of uses from each tub) seem a bit out of my price range especially for usage numbers to dollar ratio. I also can't decide which one to try, haha, thats probably another factor thats holding me back.

I've actually discovered that what they tell you on the package (four uses to one tub) is pretty wrong. I use my masks once a day every day, and I usually get 2 weeks out of one tub. I'm pretty generous, too.

I don't live near a store, but I try to get ahold of biofreshes whenever I can. I've tried Cupcake, Brazened Honey (twice) and Crash Course in Skincare. I think CCIS has done the best for my skin. It's the type of mask that I do at night- right after I do it, my skin looks kind of blotchy and gross, but by morning I have this lovely rosy even glow. I love it. Brazened Honey smells fabulous and makes a wonderful hand/foot/body scrub. Cupcake smelled amazing but didn't work as well for me. What I love about the face masks is that they have no preservatives. It makes me feel like I'm really doing something good for my skin.

OMG, I totally forgot I also tried BB Seaweed. I liked it, although I, too, was creeped out by the huge chunks of seaweed. Creeped out in an ok way, though. Obviously it wasn't fantastic for my skin or I would have remembered it.

I've tried most of the masks, but I find that they're really irritating to my skin - they seem to do the opposite of what they're supposed to.. %/ Amma

yah sometimes i find that masks actually make more zits come out. i guess its cause the ones that are sitting under the skin are activated or whatever so they start appearing. its quite annoying, isnt it?!

I've only tried BB Seaweed, because it was free. I enjoyed it, but ... I didn't use it fast enough, and ended up in a pique of 'I cannot waste this!!' smearing it in places other than my face just to use it up. Gave me nice soft skin though!

I've used the face masks as hand masks/scrubs, foot masks/scrubs, and as sort of pseudo-body-butters. It always feels very, very decadent and lovely.

I have been wanting to try the Biofresh products... I am going to maybe get some when I'm in California the end of this month. Do you know how much they cost? I want to try Catastraphe Cosmetic and the Cupcake one.

I am pretty sure that they are between 8-10. I have bought both Cupcake and Catastophe for 8.95 (before the price hike).

if your breakouts are caused by hormone issues (as mine are), masks aren't really going to make that much of a difference. you need to take measures to balance your hormones. i would suggest herbal meds, so you might wanna go into to see a herbalist. i was having really bad breakouts for several months and recently started on herbal meds to balance my hormones. it seems to be working well so far. i still have a few breakouts here and there, but nothing like it was. supposedly it takes weeks for acne to form, so maybe my skin will clear up completely in a few more weeks time.

My skin is usually quite good. However, I had a baby 10 months ago and have had some "womanly" issues recently. I'm back on the birth control pill to see if it will help and I think that's why my face is breaking out. I bought Catastrophe Costmetic before all this really started. I had a couple of blemishes at the time. I seem to get the occasional zit that just WON'T GO AWAY. I also have blackheads that I'd like to get rid of if possible. Anyway, I appreciate the suggestion.

Let's see, I've tried the Love Lettuce, my fave, which is really great for an all over cleansing. Because the pots don't last very long due to the expiration date, I like to use it as an all over body and face scrub instead of just as a mask. I don't always have time to do a mask, but I can always do a scrub in the shower. BB Seaweed is nice, but I don't think it does much to help me clear my pores. I am not usually icked out by seaweed, but I don't really like this one when it dries on my face. Cosmetic Warrior-- stinky, but it works! This'll zap any budding zits you've got (except for those big hormonal oil bump ones, but it doesn't make them worse, and anyway, I haven't had those since I started using Aquamarina and Ocean Salt and Tea Tree Water)and strip the oil right off your face. Be sure to moisturize after masks, especially this one. Brazened Honey stings! But it works pretty good and I like the smell. This one makes a great face scrub if you don't want to leave it on because it burns. Cupcake- mine was very thick and hard to spread on my face. But DH loves to use this one as a body scrub. It made him feel so soft and smooth. It's supposed to be the best for teenage skin, though. Wow, is that all I've tried? ;)

I've only tried two, but I loved them. I used Cupcake and Crash Course in Skincare. CCiS made my face very, very soft, and Cupcake made it very clean. They both smell ok - Cupcake doesn't smell as nice to me as others say that it does to them, though. I will definitely be buying again.

I have combination skin and I love Catastrophe Cosmetic. I love how smooth it makes my skin after I use it. I really like the scent but I get a more fruity/blueberry/calamine smell out of it. I think this mask works pretty good for me. I only buy biofresh as a special treat though since I have yet to use more than 1/2 a container before the expiration date (and I put the mask on pretty thick too.) I have used Cupcake also... this one has a yummy chocolate scent but I prefer Catastrope Cosmetic. I use Mask of Magnaminty regularly. With a four month shelf life this one is a much better deal :) !!

I agree with you on the Mask of Magnaminty...it's one of my favorites and I always have some on hand. It does more for me than cupcake and I don't have to worry about using it up as quickly.

I think I've tried pretty much every BioFresh mask available except the one for the feet (the name eludes me at the moment!). They all did pretty much the same thing for me (though the scrubby ones are slightly nicer for exfoliation/pampering purposes). I have to say that I still love to buy them every now and then since nothing beats the total BioFresh experience: feel, scent (I pretty much love how they ALL smell :o), using something truly natural on your face, the luxury... Yup, I love the BioFresh. :oD

I've tried Cupcake, Catastrophe, and Crashcourse. Of those, I thought Catastrophe was the best. Cupcake didn't feel good on my skin- it was too harsh I suppose. I had such high hopes too! Crashcourse is very similar to Catastrophe, but it doesn't smell as nice. Crashcourse was just sort of, blah, to me. It didn't seem to do all that much. Last, but not least, my love Catastrophe cosmetic! It smells like blueberry cupcakes and makes my skin smooth and gorgeous. I used it the week before my wedding, to make sure my face was in tip top shape and it worked like a charm. And smelling blueberry muffins was pretty relaxing I must say. Next on my list is Brazen Honey. I'll pick some up when I drive to Colorado this weekend!

I haven't ever tried the Biofresh masks, but only because I bought a huge tub of Mask of Magnaminty and I found it so effective that I didn't see the point in trying the Biofresh. Now I've run out of Magnaminty, I'm planning on trying all the Biofresh before I decide whether I'm going back to it or not! Catastrophe Cosmetic is the first on my list.
