Is Duplication a crime ??

If I want to duplicate my own CDs for my personal use (like ripping a song for my iPOD from a CD of my own or keep a backup copy in my computer) would it REALLY become a CRIME ??
As I have paid for them, can't I do what I want from them for my personnel purposes ??
What do you think ?

actually, yes. it is. that's what sends me up a wall and makes me flaming mad. any back up is a crime. its a crime that is impossible to prove however.

that is a crime if you sale that duplicatin for your own self. but If you are make a backup copy for your own personal use then that is allowed.

If you are making a backup copy for your own personal use then that is allowed. It's only when you share that it goes into breaking copywrite law.
