Why is it illegal to download movies and music from the internet?

Because they kill the entertainment or music business. Downloading from the internet is just like buying pirated cd's or movies.The artists or producers who make these movies and albums dont get any earnings when people download from the internet so it is made illegal.

because the music makers do not get paid, if the music makers stop getting paid they can't afford to make more, it costs a lot of money to make a cd, many months of work and very few of these get paid good money by the big companies, many artists today are independent and they are struggling... there is many great artists out there but they need to be paid for their work or there will be no more...:)

Download music from the internet is not illegal!
