Grissom/Sara - fan or not?

I have a friend who is a die hard shipper for Grissom & Sara. When it finally came out and really happened end of last season, she was so happy. So what's your opinion? Is this relationship a good idea (for the characters or for the show - either or both!)? Or does it just not work for you?

I would prefer her having a relationship with Lady Heather or with Sofia Curtis.

that episode really took me aback. but it's nice to see grissom be involved with someone. it makes him more human.

Ha ha, I had the same reaction, I actually said aloud "I think I must have missed an episode!" even though there was no one else in the room, that was how much it suprised me.

You mean the last episode of last season, at the very very end? They sure left it at a moment where everyone would have to do a double take, that's for sure! It was like 'wait ... did that just end like I thought it did? wha?'

sara has been inlove with grissom since day one,i for one am happy that they finilly got together and i hope it continuse

I'm kind of happy for them, too. I had to say I was worried for awhile that Sara was going to go all stalker-esque on Grissom, since she was pursuing a romantic relationship and he was so actively avoiding it. Or maybe she did and he just panicked and gave in. ;-)

i need to catch up. i don't get to see csi alot. but i agree here, they have been involed forever, they just don't show it. i think if the show takes a turn and goes toward showing relationships it would not be good. that is what makes it so good, the fact that there is no drama. i love them together. grissom is so weird and sara just fits him.

I was really disappointed that they paired them together. There is just something about her character that just does not fit in with him. I would rather have seen him with that Madame he had a thing for than her.

Would it have worked with the Madame though? I mean, as interesting a character as she was ... she did seem to unsettle him as much as intrigue him. Or was that just my view of it?

definitely works for me! they're an odd pairing, but sara completes gil, and she makes him more human - i mean now he shows more emotion towards other people, compared to previous seasons

That's true. And more emotional is good for the character. I just hope it doesn't turn around and bite him (him getting emotionally involved in a case and it backfires).

I always thought they were a couple behind the scenes anyway. From the moment that she joined the team. I thought that Gil brought her aboard for personal reasons. I don't think that they'll last though.

I think I would rather see Sara with Greg. I have a "thing" for Greg, so I guess I would just like to see him in a relationship with SOMEone! Sara would be a great choice, I think.

It doesn't work for me. I don't think they have that much in common really besides work. Sarah is looking for a father figure and she sees it happening with Grissom. I'd much rather see Grissom with Lady Heather. I think they were better suited, physically, emotionally and intellectually. They seemed to really have something together and meshed well. I would have liked to have seen more with her and him together.

I never thought the writers would actually get them together; but I'm kind of glad they did. I'm also glad that they did not turn them into "the perfect couple," their characters ARE kind of wierd and emotionally detached, so it makes perfect sense that they would remain this way somewhat, even when they are a relationshim together. I think it is part of their attraction to eachother that they are alike in that way. As for the show, I think it is good-to-indifferent for the show so far. There is so little screen time/story actually devoted to their relationship that it would be easy for a viewer to ignore it if they don't like it, and the "shippers" still have the little tid-bits that get dropped into the action.

Yeah, you might be right about bringing it more front and center. Although, was that letter he was writing was being shown so that is could be interpreted that he was dumping her ? There was a line just before he folded it up that said "...I will miss you." Of course they could be just messing with our heads, since the first part of the line could have been "Until I see you in a week...I will miss you." That would figure...

yeah - it has been left so that you could ignore it if you wanted to. Which would be good for non-shippers. Though the little additions lately - the present she received, the letter he was writing - makes me wonder if they're going to make it more front and center in the future ...

heh. they like messing with our heads, don't they? According to a friend of mine, he was quoting a sonnet - apparently she found online that people had recognized it as a romantic sonnet. So that might be part of the messing with our heads, but given where it's from it sounds more to me a 'until I return I'll miss you' vs. a 'goodbye'.
