I have 2 cats that are sisters. They are 8 months old and we have had for 5 1/4 months. We have only tried 'Fresh Step' which seemed to work when they were younger, smaller kittens. Now they are bigger and even though we scoop out the poop and pea every day, it still smells. Our last pet was a dog so this is new to us. Please help! Thanks!

I have three young female cats and I use Tidy Cat Multiple Cat litter. I usually scoop every couple of days and I use a dedorizer. I usually don't have odor problems.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into trying Tidy Cat also. What type of deodorizer do you use?

That's the one we use, too. I couldn't remember the name when I first posted.

I like Tidy Cats for multiple cats litter. I has worked really well with our three. It helps keep the odor down too.

Try the Arm & Hammer for Multi-cats. We tried multiple brands of litter, but this one is the only one that can cover the smell of our two cats.

Hi there...Arm & Hammer multi-cat formula with baking soda works great, however we also found another product that is even better at controlling litter box odours called World Best Cat Litter http://www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/

As long as your cats don't have a habit for eating litter, you could try any of the clumping brands. They work pretty well because it makes sure that /all/ of the poop and pee is gone. You could also just try adding baking soda to whichever litter you use right now, or try the Arm & Hammer stuff. That stuff really helps with odors, but my cat didn't like the smell of it and refused to use her litterbox when we tried it. As far as I know, that's really rare though. So good luck, and hope you find something that really works.

Thank you for your suggestions. We haven't had a problem with them eating their kitty litter. We are using the clumping litter which I think makes it easier to scoop out. But with 2 cats the odor seems to linger longer.
