how to make a link on mylot?

Hi i would always want to make a link to my referral url but i did not know, i try to do it but it was not highlighted like most of you did. I am a newbie please inform me. I tried many times but i can for example! http://mylot.com/algie123 ' the link is not working it needs to copy and paste before it can be access. I hope you can help me guys!
