A Cirque Du Freak Movie???

Is it really true? I saw a blurb about the first book, The Living Nightmare, being made into a movie scheduled to be released in 2008. There is no mention of a cast or firm plot but from what I have read, it seems to mirror the first book to a tee. Darren Shan fans .. who would be best to play the parts of Darren, Steve and Crepsley? If Dakota Fanning gets the part of Annie .. I am not going to be a happy camper!

Omg! I love the Cirque Du Freak books and if they get turned into movies ... I dont care if they will cost 50$ i am buying it!! Mr crepsley rocks.

...sorry to be the barer of bad news but mr.crepsley is being play by john c reilly so the might completely change his personality.

There is a small entry about it at IMDB.com but it doesn't give many specifics about it. I am hoping to keep this thread alive until something a little more concrete comes from it.

first of all i hate how they changed the series name from darren shan saga to cirque du fream and the title of the first book fr cirque du freak to whatever you said. but to respond to your question the movie started filming in febuary of 08 and will be released later this year (hopefully) here is a synopsis w/other info imdb.com/title/tt0450405 and a list castings imdb.com/title/tt0450405/fullcredits
