What gets you on the Dance Floor?...................

... I like dancing anyway so don't usually need much encouragement but even when I'm not really in the mood there are some songs that I just have to get up and dance to. Mine include Brown Sugar (The Stones) and I Travel (Simple Minds) but there's quite a few others.

I'm almost the first one dancing on the floor espacially if they put any r&b song that I really like. I can dance almost all night except if they put more then 20min of techno.

Very rare to get me in a disco let alone on the dance floor, but if they play 80s music, which is very rare now at discos, I hate the modern stuff. Madonna, Abba (ok stop laughing), pop music mainly, although just as well you would laugh if I got on the dance floor, have no sense of co-ordination LOL

For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder will always get me up and I always swore if I married my longterm partner this would be our first song!!
I love all the old 80's and when I was young I used to go to Camden palais on Sixties night and dance like a maniac all night.
When I go to parties I usually take over the music. My friends 50th was going a bit slow, then I raided her music and it did get the party rolling.
Some nights I will put on the earphones and have a party on my own!!! Sad!!!

Oh I often have a party to myself! Can't imagine what the people in the flat above must think when they hear me singing along - well, you know what it's like when you're wearing headphones!!
There was a lot of good stuff to dance to in the eighties as well. I'll dance to anything really!

There are many songs that can get me out on the dance floor. Just about any song with a good beat can get me out on the floor dancing with my friends if I'm in the mood for dancing. I enjoy I nice slow romantic dance once in a while too though.

After reading your discussions and think that I can´t remember the last time I went out an dance. Since my son birth me and my wife don´t go out much so, I can´t even remember what makes me jump to the dance floor.

Praise You by Fatboy Slim is my ultimate dance music track. The song totally begs you to dance to it. Nothing better than being at a club on a packed dance floor dancing to this song. Everyone seems to get so happy when this song comes on.

i too like dancing very much. I think according to me the rhythm and beats of the songs sets onself to get on the dance floor.
