Other than western astrology, what other forms of astrology do you follow?

I have found that western astrology only covers so much. Chinese astrology, Vedic astrology, as well as Mayan astrology has captured my attention and I was wondering if there are other forms of astrology out there that I have not heard of, as well as what people think about these astrological practices. Please share any information, refrences, or experiences!

I have not really touched on African astrology. I have only seen bits and pieces on Celtic (which generally refers to their tree system of astrological signs) as well as Native American and Aztec. If you know of any sites or references that would be helpful, please share. Thanks :)

Wow, I'm just a dabbler in astrology. I know a good deal about western astrology, a little about chinese, and I haven't even touched on mayan astrology. Though i do know about it. I've never even heard of Vedic astrology. Do you know any good books/sites/or personal info yourself? You're obviously more adept than I am! ^.^

http://www.astrodreamadvisor.com/Mayan-Pages.html The above site I have listed I found very helpful and interesting because you can read your Mayan horoscope. Their number systems were very complex for their time. Also, just try searching for mayan astrology or horoscopes on the internet. There isn't as much out there as with Western or Chinese astrology, but it is out there. Hope that is helpful. :)

I have read about some of the eastern methods of astrology, but found them not so compatible with my searches. I am interested in psychological and expecially archetypal astrology. Not so much as form of prediction, more as way to know myself and the people arround better.

I've explored Vedic and Native American, but I'm MOST familiar with Western and Chinese. I've studied both, in DEPTH, 4 over a decade now, and I c ALOT of TRUTH in BOTH! I feel that u really have 2 study your ENTIRE chart, and NOT just your sun sign, or JUST your Chinese YEAR animal. Just like Western astrology has the ascendant, North Node, and all of the other planets, in Chinese astrology, u also have an animal that represents the MONTH u were born in, and your TIME of birth is ruled by an animal as well. They say that the time of birth animal is similar 2 your ascendant (in Western astrology), in that it represents your HIDDEN SELF. Some say the ascendant (or RISING sign) is just the IMAGE that u present 2 the public, or how others PERCEIVE u, while others say it's the REAL U, deep down, that u keep "hidden". I tend 2 think BOTH are valid, though I lean more 2-wards the latter. I think studying BOTH of these systems, in DEPTH, gives u a great understanding of yourself, and everyone else u encounter in life. 4 me, it confirms things that I've always known about myself. It just puts LANGUAGE 2 it. I'm a Libra sun AND moon, and a Metal Dog in Chinese. What are u?
