Tara Reid Falls, Blames Friends

Tara Reid has worked hard to shed her party girl image. She's cut back on alcohol ("I'm not always drunk," she told Us in October), taken roles in indie films, and stopped exposing boobage on the red carpet. But life had other plans for Tara at the Ocean Drive Magazine/Market America bash on Saturday night. Reid, 31, tumbled off the red carpet into the sand, looking like a college coed after too many funnels at Carlos 'N Charlie's in Cancun. However, an eyewitness tells the New York Daily News’ Rush & Molloy that the cause of the fall was not booze-related, but had to do with a missed step at the end of the carpet. Still, the red-faced Reid thought that her friends were behind the spill. Says the NYDN source: "They were at least 5 feet away from her but she yelled 'You guys f--king tripped me!' Everyone was speechless."Then, unable to blame the fall on alcohol or her 5-feet-away friends, Tara frantically searched for another scapegoat on which to pin the blame. At which point, gravity immediately looked the other direction and was all, “Girl, don’t even.”
