A Special Thank You?

Since I have been a member of Mylot, I have met a number of friends, from all different walks of life, but one of these in particular has been a great friend. He encouraged me in my writing, supported and pestered me until I opened my writing out to publishing sites. Recently, I have had some of my work published, so I would like to say a special thank you to this guy, and show my deep appreciation of what he has done for me, with a short poem. I hope you like it. :-)
For coming into my life, cheering every new day,
For admiring my work, encouraging me to display
My feelings in writing because you admired
The thoughts I wrote down 'bout the things I desired.
For lifting me up when times got too tough,
For sending me laughter when I felt so rough,
For support and encouragement, words so wise,
For showing me something that escaped my eyes.
For being at hand when I needed advice
On where to go, what to do, that was so nice.
For just being you, with your jocular pranks,
For all this I offer my Heartfelt Thanks!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a special friend!

Darkwing, that is a special "thank you" indeed. I hope your friend sees it and knows it is meant for him.
You know, there is an old saying about getting back what you give, and I know this applies to you. You are a giving person, so I'm sure you will do well with your writing, and one day we might see a book published. Of course, you will have to put your avatar on the front, or we won't know it is yours!

I think he'll see it one way or another, Cloud. I posted it in my sites too, and he'll know he gave me the support and encouragement mentioned in there. I'd never thought about showing my poetry before. I hadn't even thought it was good enough. Then I wrote a reply to a discussion in here, which he picked up on, because he liked the description and imagination in it, and from then on, he never gave up on me.
Thank you also for the compliment, Cloud. :-) My avatar can go on the inside leaf, with my name under it and a short passage about how I got started. lol.

Awwww, thank you Bizzie. I hope he reads this, but I've stuck it right under his nose, in just about every place I can... lol. No good him feeling modest! :-)
My Spring poem has the most views on the site you share with other writers. It was overtaken for a while with my Tree Lore, but regained its position this evening, whilst I was out! I just have to wait now, and see what happens, but if anybody wants to read my poetry, they only have to ask and I will give them the website. If they want to write, then I will give them that website as well. Gonna have to devise something on herbal lore soon... which reminds me, did you try the lavender? :-)

Awwwwww, thank you, Gabs. I'm glad that you like it... I don't know about the talented bit, but I'm trying. I'm trying to build a "Fan Club" on another site, and would like to invite you to join it. I know you can write, and could benefit from joining this. Take a look at my 360 page and I'll post the invitation to join my Fan Club in there... then you can see what you think about joining up. I have a Fan List of TWO so far. ha ha ha.

Your heart is in the right place and you deserve the appreciation from all your friends. Your contribution to Mylot is worthy of such praise and your discussions are a pleasure to add comment to, as the quality of some are outstanding with numerous genuine responses that make all the threads a pleasure to read. Keep up the good work and enjoy all that life brings to you.
