I know mine does- both of them cry and growl and their little feet are going like crazy as if they were running....Do you think yours are having bad dreams or good ones. I like to think mine are having good ones like running in the park or swimming, I don't like to think they are having bad dream like maybe when we leave them to go to work, (i hate leaving them to go to work they look so sad). I know my guys howl when we leave - our neighbors tell us all the time LOL.

I grew up in a house with dogs as well as cats! My parents had a golden rertriever called Rowan, and an English Setter caled Lucas. They both used to dream, - their ittle paws would twitch, and they would both make this strange grunting sound. Sometimes their ears would twitch too. I think they were having happy dreams, about chasing rabbits in the fields or somethng, - and I'm sure yours are too! Having said that, cats dream too, and my Wilby used to have nightmares when I first had him-:(( He used to cry so piteously, and it broke my heart:-(( The Vet said it was because he had been ill-treated, and had been a cruelty case before I had him, and he was traumatised, but that they would ease in time. Luckily they did!

We have three dogs and they don't seem to dream much, but when they do, I like to imagine that they are dreaming about chasing the bunnies in our backyard!

I had a dog, and it did dream. Now I have two cats, and they dream. Sometimes, I believe they have nightmares too, as one of them crys and her body shakes. I need to wake her up, and then she is fine. I adopted both, so I don't know anything about what they have gone though. I hope that we are loving them enough, that they don't have dreams of unhappiness and being unwanted.

Yes. They run as if chasing something, then seems to catch and chew it. They also "talk" in their sleep by making little squeaks and growls. You can see by there eye movements that they are in the REM phase of sleep just like humans.

My ex's dog dreams. Often she moves his legs while she is asleep. Sometimes she sounds like she is crying so then I wake her up and give her a cuddle.
