i've seen many people using lol....i dont understand the meaning bt i just write the same..can anybody explain me..??

In my opinion, it means laugh out loud for short. In fact, I am a fresher here, so I am not sure if my explain is right. Of course, you can find other master-hand.

I thought it was lots of love, but thanks buddy starting this discussion. Atleast I came to know what does it mean actually. But I think some people use it for lots of love.I am not sure about this.

I was thinking about that from long time. Thanks, now a know it.I've thought to write it too,but thank god not. Suppose anybody has placed discussion about some serious problem and I've started reply with "lol". What he will feel? I've never thought/even guessed it is laugh out loud.

Yes first i was also not aware what LOL means but now i know the meaning of this word.
It has two meanins to me.
1) Laughter of loudest
2) Lots of laughter

When I first got my computer a few years ago, I had no idea what the heck they were talking about with the lol.
First I thought it meant...Live on Love....
Then I figured it must be..Lots of Luck....
No,I thought it might be...Little old Lady
Heck, I'm still wondering.......
lots of lettuce.....
large or little.....
look out loser......
learn our language..
lack of luck........

I know that by now you know lol means laugh out loud. But have you ever been sat at your computer and read something thats so funny that you actually laugh out loud?? Well thats what it means.
Before all this text talk came about I used to put lol at the end of my letters to say lots of love :-D Many moons ago lol!!!

It startred in chatrooms and now is being used in text messaging. it's as simple as Laughing out loud. just lik BRB=be right back and GTG=Got to go. Got it?!
