Do You Want To Make Other People Happy?

My Mom and Dad lived by a saying that they followed as far back as I can remember. I had adopted this quite some time ago. This is the way they ruled their life. SMILE: It cost nothing but creates much, happens in a flash and the memory last forever, cannot be begged, borrowed or stolen but is of no earthly good until given away. So, if in your hurry, you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave one of yours. No one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give. As my Mom and Dad have done, I have followed in their footsteps and the model that they followed.

Wow, now that is a saying I can get behind! Thank you for sharing that and here are so smiles for you :) :) :) :) I am going to give this a try at work tomorrow. I work in health care and there is always a need to share a smile.

I work in a nursing home. I am not a CNA but make beds, pass ice water and help pass the breakfast and lunch trays. The best part of my job is when I help pass the meal trays. I get to interact with the residents and I clown around so that they will smile. One of the residents doesn't know my name but refers to me as the lady that always makes her laugh. Not what higher compliment can a person receive. A smile is a precious gift from one person to another. Here is a smile being sent your way. Don't put it in your pocket. Take it and share it with everyone.

Runsgame, This is a philosophy that I was brought up on. My mom always smiled at people. I am not talking just people she knew but everybody. I don't think she knew a stranger. But I have carried her philosophy with me and use it.

LOL check out my profile - "Smile at the world and the world will smile back", and I firmly believe this is true. No matter what is going on in my life I do my best to make others smile.

Mine says smile and the world smiles with you. I am a people person and love to see someone smile after I have smiled at them. In this great big world that is one way of encouraging each other even if it is encouraging a stranger by a smile.
