whats wrong with my car

i have a 1999 White Mustang Convertible. i have been having some small problems with it but they seem to keep gettin worse. first the exhaust is gettin louder and louder. the car is taking extremely long to start up and sometimes it putters when it is idol (even though my neighbor said that this is normal, i dont think so) HELP ME!!!

Im not absolutely sure as I would have to see it to really know but I think you might need a tune up and possibly new spark plugs and clean injectors

i thought i needed new spark plugs but the guy at the shop said that they were fine. i think im going to get some new ones anyway.

well rich is could be from the fact it could have been sitting for a while without being started up in the cold, or from the gas not having been treated while be stored for the winter, all of these could explain the puttering and the long start up. aa for the exhaust you probaly have an whole in your exhaust. i hope that this helps you.

When was the last tune-up? Most cars should get a full tune-up every two years. Well - part of a tune-up is changing the spark plugs, & maybe the distributor. I would have to hear the car to say, but it could also be a dying catalytic converter or muffler.
