How can I help my father stop smoking? / myLot

My father has been smoking for nearly 12years. And it will leads to bad health. I hope to help him stop smoking. But it seems too difficult...can you give me some suggestion?thx

Give him a wake-up call, my dad's been the same and when I told him how much he had at risk, his job, his family, his life, me? Is it worth it, smoking is great I know (for smokers) but is it worth a lifetime of pain for yourself and those surrounding you? You can't stop him, but if you make him realise what he's go to loose, he can stop himself, good luck!

Thanks,my friend. I think it's true that i can't stop my father.And what I can do just to persuade him and let him know the danger of smoking. Of course, give him supports at the sme time.

Try to see a doctor or patch, or to sensibilate him ;;;; the best is to see in a hospital people with cancer

well i think you need to counsel him and tell him about the harmful hazzard of somking, i think he will understand your words and quit smoking
