A lot of people, also the more sceptics, peer at the newspaper to read his own horoscope. Do you believe in horoscopes? What do you think about Astrology? What's your zodiac sign?

I am a huge fan of astrology and have been for goin on 14 yrs now..Horoscopes though, is a different story...I never have been one to believe in them simply because they are SO general which is what IMO causes them to be fairly inaccurate..Astrology though is fabulous..

I'm a Scorpio, but I don't put much stock in any horoscopes or astrology. I used to read my horoscope, just for fun, but when they're so obviously generic, it's not exciting anymore - that's why I stopped reading horoscopes. I'm not against reading a couple for kicks, but I wouldn't plan my life around them!

I don't believe in them, and I never check them in the newspaper, although my sister used to send me a hilarious horoscope column from her local newspaper. The astrologer (obviously not taking himeself very seriously), would write ultra-specific entries like: "Capricorn: You will meet a guy named Fred walking East on 22nd street. He will be wearing a red jacket. Do not accept the box he will offer you, even when he throws himself on the sidewalk and begs." I also enjoy getting away from the city, and being in an area where the light is reduced enough to be able to really see some of the constellations in the sky. It's fun to think of people centuries ago looking at the same pictures in the sky. I'm Aquarius, but the Libra personality profile fits me better.

Am a Gemini, fits me well. Not into divination. Someone who can chart is a good friend. Will need done the next day since life comes at us fast. A horoscope is a guideline or giver of hope. Planting by the signs work and moon effects is a science. Astrology is a good method of wending your way through life.

I've only begun to touch on my studies of Astrology. It's not something that completely sparks my interst - but I do find it fasinating and plan to learn more on it. Horoscopes - esp as far as newspapers and the like goes are just a bunch of bull as far as I'm concerned. I doubt any of them consult with an actual astrologer on them. Most of them could apply to anyone not just to the sign they're talking about. I'm a virgo w/double Mercury. It fits me pretty much like a glove. How bout you?

my view of horoscopes and astrology is the mathematics of correlation. we use correlation in data processing to figure or have a intellegent guess what will happen next, its collerating one set of events to predict an event of a different series. I'm not sure the calculation regarding astrology but upto now i'm amazed how did the three kings predicted the birth, the massacre and how to avoid it.

I'm a Cancer. I am fascinated by the charming histories behind the names of the constellations, specially the ancient ones that often refer to Greek mythology. Or the Eastern constellations that often have their roots in Eastern mythology. As to horoscopes and astrology I don't believe at all in such things.

I don't think people understand that horoscopes are intended to be more of a guide than gospel. Many people see them as witchcraft and many more believe that they are just a bunch of garbage. If you want to know what you astrological sign is truly good for, I would have to say that it pinpoints different aspects of people born during certain phases of the moon and the different positions of the stars. My zodiac sign is Pisces.

I don't worry so much about horoscopes, but I have found that there is a lot of truth in zodiac sun sign compatibility charts. I'm a cancer, on the cusp of Leo.

If there is a paper around, I usually look at my horoscope and just try to remember what it said. Then later on the day, if I remember I will try to think if anything was similar to what I have read. I don't believe it though unless it's good.

I belueve certain ones can be right..but not all of them. Like some astrologer's can be very accurate while others know diddly. As for astrology, I think it's intresting..but I never really learned how to do horoscopes or check into the future. I'll read books..but I don't go that deep into it. But that's just me heh. My sun sign's Leo, and my Moon sign is Pisces.

I think that they can give some good insight but I don't believe in them as far as guiding my life. For me it's fun to learn about different astrologies aside from the traditional zodiac, such as Chinese and Celtic astrology. By the way, I'm a Taurus born in the year of the Ox and my Celtic tree sign is Willow.

I don't believe in astrology...I am a scientist and believe in science but as many of us I sometimes like reading my horoscopes for fun...just to laugh at how foolish it may be or how silly of us to believe at it...how can you believe to something that is so unclear and full of common statements, so common to be apt for everybody? When my horoscope says I am having a good day it is usually happening the worst thing you can imagine!!! However, I am a Taurus!!! this is clear...

I don't disbelieve anything that's a derivative of mathematics and astrology seems no different but I hardly spend time reading the predictions. When it comes to the columns, they rarely ever get it right and when they do it's something a fifth grader can predict after reading a few horoscopes.Even if I'd like hold a crystal ball to my future,I don't trust the astrologers who write in newspapers and magazines to make a quick buck.I am a scorpio.

I do not at all believe in horoscope but like many others, I read it just for fun and if something matches my likes, behavior, etc. I laugh so that's a source of making my life different, just to have a reason to laugh. I'm an April born.

I do believe in astrology, but i do not believe in the horoscope that comes in newspaper. That is too general, and the variance is too high, and the audience too wide to be applicable. But if an astrological reading is done on a person taking his date of birth, time of birth, place of birth and other astrological factors, and comparing these with the coming time and how stars are positioned against his birth chart, only then it would be able to give a precise prediction.

Yes I think there is some basis to astrology, it does help us understand personality types. I do not think the paper horscopes have anything to do with real astrology and feel that it is and would be a complete waste of time to read them. They are to general and you can make them fit if you wre really trying to. I do think that knowing a persons Sun sign helps but it is also not enough, knowing their rising sign and their moon helps as well. Since these will factor in, and sometimes enhance, strengthen the meanings or influences of one sign and sometimes conflict with creating different aspects which is why two people of the same Sun sign can be so very different from each other. I also think that astrology like divination, or precognition is not exact, it is not absolute, it is about possiblities. Possiblities based on influences and if you know what influences may affect you, you can alter them or increase the possiblity of an outcome by working with them. I am a Libra, so lol naturally I can see how Astrology is and isn't. I do possess the Libra tendency to argue both or more than two sites of an arguement or debate.
