Do you make a living doing freelance writing? Do you write for magazines or for online work?? Which is best and do you get alot of rejections? How does freelance writing work and how do you get started in it?

I have been doing some freelance writing lately for Associated Content and Constant Content. They don't pay a lot but I figure it's a good place to start and get some exposure. I have sold three articles to each and have been paid already, so I know they are legitimate. If you can write well, and follow good rules of punctuation, spelling, and grammar, they will accept most of your articles. They operate differently, so without going into a lot of detail, just go to these sites and check them out: http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=49927 http://www.constantcontent.com/?aref=8083

The link for Constant Content didn't work for me. Can you tell me more about this writing site? Thanks.

The site is www.constant-content.com (the hyphen was missing above). There's a really good discussion about contant-content by eventualist; search for contant-content or contant content.

I haven't tried magazine work, the traditional thing of sending query letters, etc. sounds slow and frustrating. I'm trying to make money writing online if I can. Consider joining the Editorial Freelancers Association, they have job listings, courses, discussion groups, etc. I think it's only about $50 a year... www.the-efa.org
