Do you still like your wedding ring?

I have only been married for just over 2 years, but every time I glance at my hand, I get a little warm rush because I love my wedding ring so much. It isn't even that it's that special - its just a silver band - but it reminds me of the wedding, my husband, and how much in love I am. How do you feel about your wedding ring?

That's so sweet! I hope you like it forever! I am not married and wear my mammas engagement ring on that finger, my mum used to wear it as a signet ring. Its a flat gold gypsey band with a diamond, I wouldn't want to change it.

That sounds beautiful rainbow. My mom and dad weren't married, or even engaged, so I won't ever have that kind of ring to wear. One day I will wear my grandmothers ring, but I don't want to even think about it because it means mom would have passed :(

Thank-you I love it, it's very old at least 80 years and I keep hoping it's Welsh gold as they have just closed the mine, not that I could part with it but maybe my boys will later on. It's like having a little bit of my mamma and mum with me all the time. I miss my mum a lot, even the fights, lol. Hang on to yours they are very special.

I love my wedding ring as well...I'm not into the gaudy kind; just a small diamond is fine. I do the same thing as you. I twirl it around my finger all the time and makes me think of my husband. CJ loves to look at it as well and says, "Diamond ring from Kay's Jewelers?" He's so funny. He loves jewelry as well and wants Santa to bring him a gold necklace from Jared's...lol

You are so right...that's how the slogan goes; everytime it comes on TV, CJ runs out of his room just in time to sing along. He wanted a Kay's and a Zale's ring for Xmas last year..! Well, of course we couldn't afford it, so his personal aide at school got him a mood ring (didn't know she was going to do that; I had already purchased a nice on), went to Kay's and got the box (for free)... So, after receiving the ring in mail that I had ordered, Mark went to Zale's to explain the situation; hoping to get a box from them or at least be able to purchase one...They refused..! Can you believe that..! We won't be buying anthing from them, Ever! I feel like I should write to Zale's and chew them out. Anyway, I think he'll get a gold necklace from Jared this year; he's such a good boy.

Wow. I won't be buying from Zales ever, either. How horrible of them - as if it would have really made a difference to them to give you a box. Grrr.

That's so funny - every kiss begins with Kay or something like that. Gotta love commercials. Will Santa bring a gold necklace do you think?

I know what you mean about sentimental value. I have special things that remind me of people, and no matter what they are they mean the world to me because of how I came to have those things, and those people in my life. Congratulations on finding love!

Thanks! Believe me, it was a struggle - but well worth it. I also have some other momentos that remind me of people - a ring from my dad, that kind of thing. I am very sentimental by nature.

That is so sweet :)... I am attached to my engagment ring, since i use that and a cheapy ring for my wedding band, since i lost mine a week before the wedding now a month later still can't find it..But i know i love my rings an don't plan on getting tired of them.I've had the engagment ring for about 2 years and i love it even more now...

It's too bad that you lost your wedding band, but so sweet that in the long run, it really doesn't matter that it was a cheapy ring. I dont even have an angagement ring LOL ... just a band. But I love it more every day.

we feel the same way and i was also married just 2 yrs ago. i love my husband so much no matter who he is and he loves me just the same. mine is just a 14k just gold plated wedding ring and it has a simple design. even if our wedding is just simple our relationship counts more than that of the symbol.

Exactly - I feel the same way. I love my husband so much, and I love that my ring reminds me of him when he's at work.

I like my ring, but I haven't worn it in ages. Seems whenever I do, I get a rash on my finger that itches real bad.. so I end up having to take it off. I guess I'm allergic to it or something.

I always take mine off at night, and whenever my handes are wet, I remive my ring to dry underneath it. I find that if moisture gets trapped under it, I have a rash by the end of the day. Maybe that woudl help you?

My ring set has a small stone and is probably not what I'd pick out if I was getting married now. We've been married almost 10 years, and my tastes have changed. I do like the look of it, and can't imagine every changing it. It's the memory that is so special to me. I love it because my husband bought it for me, and it means the world to me.

That's so sweet. I know what you mean - how could you change it because of all the memories and everything it represents?

I still love my wedding ring. It's very unique and it's an antique. I also recently got it cleaned at the jeweller and it made a huge difference in the sparkle. I didn't even think it was dirty but wow!

I used to work at a jeweller, and I was always amazed at how a ring that didn't look dirty would look SO much better after a cleaning. I should think about having my ring cleaned, too.
