how to earn more? read the guidelines from time to time!

for 6 months, i always try to go back to mylot's guideline pages to refresh me with the rules. there are times when i really get so swifted with excitement. i post and post and i even forget about the rules. little do we know that most of our earnings here also depend on one important matter: about how we follow the rules and regulations of mylot, the entire thing! i know it's hard to cope up with all the rules. but when you get to read them over and over again atleast once a week, you'll get to know which ones are you doing right and which ones are you doing wrong. my earnings in january is much higher compared to my other month's earnings. i did not spend more time in january per day in mylot compared to any other months. but i did earn way too much than my previous earnings only because i followed the rules mylot had imposed on us members. we should learn that we are in this community. yes, we have all the freedom in the world to write down what we think and feel about anything or everything. but remember, freedom comes with responsibility. and rules if followed will make us responsible members! so, keep on having fun, keep on posting, KEEP ON FOLLOWING RULES AND FAQs and keep on earning more!

I definitely agree. We should all check with the guidelines at least once every week or two, and not only remind ourselves of the rules and regulations, but also make sure that nothing new has been added. I did personally re-read the guidelines about a week or so ago, and it reminded me of some things that I had been forgetting. I'm glad that you earned more in January than any other month due to paying close attention to the rules and guidelines! ^_^ I can't say yet if I will earn more as i go along, since Jan was my first month here, but it is really encouraging to see someone earning more for following the rules! ^_^

I try to check every once in a while, whenever I start or see some discussions that I think is complicated, I do refer to them anytime. It's good thing to refresh them everytime we are here, I have no complains or other questions that is on my mind, thus I learn to appreciate the wonders of mylot that does to us!;)

I totally agree with you. When I first came on mylot, I didn't really know the rules. So I made soo many mistakes, which I really wish I didn't. But practice makes perfect, and I think I'm doing much better now. This is my second month, and I'm still waiting for my payout for january, so I hope I'll get a lot.

mistakes are okey especially if we are just newbies. but it's already quite unexcusable when we're here for months. but the good thing is we learned from our first few days here. let's just try not to do the same mistakes as before. take care!

Hey =) Another useful discussion. I have read the guidelines and f.a.q's but your right once isn't enough since most sites update them regularly and even if mylot dont. It's still a good idea to keep them fresh in your mind so you don't get on the wrong side. i personally wouldn't want to break any of these rules so i will be keeping checks on that section. Thank you =) ~Joey

well, actually, for 6 months of being here, mylot had regularly been adding some new rules for us here to make our stay here a lot easier. but not all the time though. but it's always better to have ourselves reminded from time to time.

"Post anything that inaccurately explains the myLot earnings algorithm. Our myLot mathematicians have worked long and hard on our elaborate payment system and we wouldn’t want any of our users to make them feel inadequate by breaking their algorithm in minutes." hi. i quoted that from mylot's discussion guides. it's the last one on the dont's list. you will never find any earning criteria here. but you'll love it here anyway like most members do.

Just bring 25 to 30 referrals. 2. Post 25 discussion topics (quality) 3. Post 125 to 150 responses (descriptive) 4. Upload photographs (20 per day m,inimum.) 5. Just tell me whether you are above $5 per day.

hello. nice to hear from you again. anyway, i don't have referrals that are so active. for 6 months now, i only have 2 referrals who log in every now and then and answer a few discussions. but i don't blame them. they are busy people. what i know is that i should not depend most on them and that i should work hard on my own. but thanks. i don't really earn 5 dollars per day. but atleast 1.50 per day. there are days when i reach more than 3 dollars. and there were few days when made only some cents. but just like you who are a long time member of mylot, no matter what, let's keep it going!

I will have to check it out. I wasn't aware that myLot checks post content. I mean I know obviously spam and super short posts may be leass valueble than quality posts, but overall I thought it was mostly by post or by word posted. I will check the rules. Thanks for the tip ~John

Yeah i follow mylot rules and guidelines keenly as i believe that we should enjoy the freedom given to us write our views, opinions on mylot site but with sense of responsiblity. And certainly by following mylot rules and guidelines we can do it. I also like to keep in mind the mylot alerts that are issued from time to time as it helps me to understand how best i can use the site with all new features that are added to it. And certainly by following mylot rules we know that posting quality discussions is important, and that we should read all other posts in the discussion before psoting so we can provide meaningful contribution. Not to reply to uselss, hate topics as they wi surely get deleted and affect one's earnings too. So yes it is very useful and one should follow mylot rules and guidelines to earn more here.

right. mylot alerts should never be taken forgranted. they update some rules from time to time. and that's just great. mylot moderators are working for the betterment of the site and the members!

I was just curious are you an admin for myLot or for any of the other message boards. Don't get me wrong, rules are great, and believe me I have read them but an obsessive eye for the rules is not the overwhelming common trait among our fellow myLoteers. That is why I asked.

haha. nope. i had been here for 6 months. i know some was even here earlier than me. but for sure, i have seen the growth of mylot. you'll might not imagine this, but hmm.. well, mylot's layout was really not as organized as this one before. it was so hard to manage discussions. but with patience, i'm still here and others as well. and nope. i am not an admin here. but thanks for asking. and i had tried signing up for other message boards but sad to say, i got nothing from them. they always promised me that they will pay me but they never did. 4 other forum sites actually. but i won't name them anymore. i just love mylot because they do really pay. it's not easy money though. i worked hard for what i earned as well.

I certainly need to read the rules and guidelines from time to time to make sure I stay within the rules. I do get carried away sometimes in my topics especially so i am being more careful with what I create as topic discussions. Hopefully we all have noticed some of the many changes they have made over the last few months. This is a very good post and a good reminder to everyone.

we naturally get carried away most of the time. because we enjoy a lot here. and that's great. but it's always nice to keep ourselves refreshed about the rules all the time. and we should be updated about the new changes as well.

I think you earned more in january, because mylot changed earning method a few times during january. You do not receive your payment depending on using rules, but you can lose points if you abuse them, and a mylot member report it to mylot admin.

nope. i earned more in december. i got 81.88 for december and 66.99 in january. but it's okey. i still got paid and it's still money. but they do adjust payments (it's either up or down). and rules affect the payment method as well.

It is always good to read rules and faqs first before signing up for something, thanks to your post i have to read the terms/rules/faqs once again and it had made me better understand this community and its purpose. For the past six months how much have you earned already and so far how do u find this community?

Thanks for the tip, I may need to do just that. I too earned more in January than any other month for some odd reason. I did not do anything differently than I am doing this month. This month I am getting half as much per post as I did in January. I think I know the rules pretty good, but I am beginning to NOT know the MyLot Gods. LOL

I agree with you. I always try not to break a rule, and i'm very careful with my words, so no one on myLot will get offended. I saw a lot of members that broke myLot rules, and use for example a racisem. I think that without even looking at myLot rules, you could know that it's wrong.

Excellent advice. It never hurts to refresh your memory once in a while. And it does really pay off, not just because it affects your earnings, but because you have the knowledge at hand to help out the newcomers.
