Do You Watch Your Favorite TV Episodes online

I was really excited to recently discover there was a place online with episodes of Battlestar Galactica for free. I missed more than half of the second season, so I have been wanting to get caught up without dropping the sixty dollars on the combined season two disks. Do you watch tv programs online? If so, which ones?

There is an inconvenience to this though. Each connection usually has a data transfer limit. If you watch a lot of videos you can easily go past your data transfer limit in a week or two. If you go past that data limit your connection service usually slows down your connection for the rest of the month disabling watching videos because of the horrible connection. I do watch series online but I often suffer from going past that data transfer limit.

I don't understand this. Is this related to my DSL connection or the site's connection? I've been watching/downloading videos for a couple of months and haven't had a problem. Please clarify.

Hmm, that's interesting, thanks for the head's up. I haven't ever had that problem to be perfectly honest, but I'll definitely keep my eye out for it now that you mention it.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you what connection I have. But many of my friends have shared the same problem as me. So I guess I shouldn't have said "Each connection usually has a data transfer limit." But I've heard many people getting the same problem as me.

I haven't for the most part but I would like to for some because if you missed earlier seasons it can be hard to catch up. For me I missed most of Battlestar until last year. The same with SG1. I'm going to have to check out the site you mentioned and see if I can get caught up.

I missed a lot of season two in BSG, so I'm catching up now. There are some other great shows on the list on that site too. I was ecstatic when I found it, because as much as I love BSG, I can't afford the seasons on dvd right now, and this is so much better than instant gratification. There's no guilt after watching because I didn't spend anything.

Yes, I do. I even watch Battlestar Galactica, but not for free, though, except when they show it on Pulse. Where do you find them for free? The only way I know you can do that is through Torrents. And, I don't like to do file sharing because of the legalities involved. I also watched "The Apprentice" and I missed some of "Lost" and watched them online, too, for free. But, that was through the network websites.

Cool, I don't think it's file sharing, just a place to watch them. You don't actually download them. I might just use them. Thanks double!

No downloading at all. It just opens into a screen and you watch it. It's really convenient, and nice and free!

I watch a lot of TV shows online now. A lot of the major networks are putting them online, which is pretty convenient. It's still kind of primitive now, but one day I think TV and computers will merge into one multimedia device and all the TV shows will basically be watched on demand. The downside to watching them online is that you have to watch them on your monitor and that the quality on streaming videos is generally a lot lower than on TV. Virtually every TV show that airs is posted online on various file sharing networks and ftp sites. The legality of that is kind of borderline though. If you know where to look, everything is out there somewhere.

I've heard of ways that you might be able to hook your computer up to your TV, but I haven't quite looked into that. I think you would need, at least, a newer TV. I accidentally signed up for a P2P file sharing site and quickly cancelled when I realized that most of the files were not legal to be shared. At least with the dvdcosmos, you don't have to download anything onto your own computer, though they don't have authorization to do even what they're doing right now.

Aw..The Dresden Files aren't on there. Granted it's only been on the air for three episodes now..but still..but yay for Supernatural and House! I'll watch Lost online sometimes. I watched the first episode of The Dresden Files online too. I only tend to look for ways to watch tv shows onlne when I can't watch them on regular tv or somehow missed an episode. Like my old canceled tv show, Animorphs.

I watch Bones online each week, because it comes on when my children are still awake. You can stream it from the show's myspace page. It's http://www.myspace.com/fox . You can also watch the most recents eps of 24 and Prison Break there.

Coo! But, they don't have House on it. I missed the last part of an episode a couple of weeks ago and I can't find it online. My VCR messed it up.

I wasn't aware that I could watch tv shows online for free. That would be great. Can you download them onto disc? I missed Battlestar Galactica last week so I don't have a clue as to what happened. I'll check out that website.

BBC sometimes put episodes online which i sometimes watch not often because i prefer watching them on tv but yes i do sometimes catch up with them online when i can. I haven't much recently. I forget what i watched last, was probably two pints and a packet of crisps. Kudos! ~Joey
