A lot of people I know keep things that they don't really need. Some keep it for sentimental reasons. Others keep it as a momento. Parents usually keep a lot of things used by their babies in a memory box including the first tooth, the first lock of hair etc. have kept anything for years for some reason or other and wouldn't think of throwing it away?

I have kept the bassinette my children slept in. Quite often I look at it and wonder why I'm keeping it. My children will never use it for their own babies I'm sure, still I keep holding on to it. I also have a record player which is quite old. I'm keeping that as I'm hoping perhaps when my children are older it may be worth some money and they could start a college fund or something for their children (yes I realize this is probably not likely but I'm keeping it all the same, lol).
