Can I get some honest opinions on my music?

Hey everyone, im a musician living in Germany and while I've always managed to do ok on music (writing for small labels and small contracts) I've recently decided to buy myself a microphone and change my style to something a little more commericial, now I know this style isnt everyones cup of tea and I would really appreciate some comments on the quality of the music rather than the style of music. But yeah, I get alot of comments on myspace about it but its always hard to tell if people are just being nice or if they really do like it, personally I dont think the songs are anywhere near bad but your opinions would help me understand how to improve, so if you have a few spare moments I'd really love to hear what you think, the two most popular are probably "Stuck Inside" and "Leave It All Behind" (the later has got a little interest from a record label but things are still working about that). So there you have it, the link to me is www.myspace.com/martintibbs , if you have a myspace account and feel like adding me then please do so, I try to make a point of messaging anyone who leaves me a message but with over 1100 people on my friendslist thats getting harder to do :) Thanks in advance everyone! and I hope I dont give you a headache ;)

I like what I've heard so far! Good Going! :) I am a musician and I have self- recorded more that 62 songs, I also sing and play 9 instruments... I've yet to get around to digitizing my work because, a few years ago, some thieves decided to relieve me of all of my instruments and recording equipment, and it's takem me awhile to even think about re-starting my music career... Not to worry, though, I'm still writing songs and I want to record some background music and effects for books on DVD. Hey,have you heard of LULU.com, the self-publishing site? Take a visit http://www.lulu.com it's absolutely free to self-publish and put your stuff on sale right on the site... they never charge you any money, the customer(s) pay for everything. You also get to set your own prices, too! I'm going back to listen to your songs again, I like the "Chill Out" stuff, and your more commercial tunes aren't that bad either... I write songs that are made for Wiccan/Pagan folk and Mystical "Chill Out" tunes as well as love songs, one day maybe you'll get to hear my songs here on MyLot! :) The best of luck with your music career and keep on playin'! By the way, I started out with a Commodore 64 and Passport software, never got to use the Amiga, because I went right to a Casio 101 synthesiser! LOL!

Aww man im really sorry to hear about you losing your gear, that must have hurt pretty badly :( But thanks alot for the comments, I'd actually completly forgotted about the chill out music I have there, at the moment im not working exactly so your link to LULU is a godsend! I really cant say how much I appreciate that dude, its really cool and im going to go there right now. While I had a C64 I could never get into the music progs on there, but the SID chip is still an awesome sound, in fact I have a VSTI plug in called QuadraSID from ReFX which is basically an emulator for the C64, just playing on it makes me think of the 64, its great :) anyway, I'd love to hear some of your stuff so if ever you want to share anything thats not copyrighted then please do so bud :)
