Last night on CSI the character Keppler was killed. I was enjoying his story line and it was nice to have a new face to mix things up a bit. I will miss him. What are your thoughts on Keppler's exit from the show and where do you see CSI going from here?

I agree with prevoius posts that Keppler was to be ashort-lived character. And, I liked the way they handled his stroyline and exit. I didn't really understand Katherine's reaction. They didn't really seem to be all that close but I guess losing someone you work like that is preety bad. I do feel sorry for the lab girl's character, she was obviously inot Keppler.

Yeah I was wondering were they planned to take that with Catherine she does seem to keep losing important people from her life. Hope it doesn't push her over the edge.

I thought that it was too bad that they killed him off already. He could have been an interesting addition to the team. I'm glad that Gil is back. He can finally open that box. I couldn't believe they ended the last episode without having him open it. After all, who opens letter mail first when they have a parcel waiting?

Kepplers role was just a "filler" until Grissom returns. He does made the storyline very interesting but as the saying goes "nothing beats the best". Welcome back Dr. Gil Grissom

I think it was the intention all along to kill him off. He killed the guy who could ruin everything but it appears the guy left evidence anyway. The hand could prove to cause a chain reaction of releases from prison the people who Keppler had convicted. Could be interestng in the future.

The way I see it, William Petersen did not even leave the show. They had a storyline they wanted to explore and the writers thought the best way to bring a new character in was to have one take a break. He was gone for what? Three episodes? That is not considered gone to me. I did not like Keppler. I am glad he is gone and I am glad he was killed off because I don't want to see him again. Besides, shows have done that come and go type of thing before - cops from other precincts coming back to help out here and there, their paths crossing on cases, etc. This certainly had a different twist to it. I'm just glad Grissom is back and we can go back to the miniature village again. We still don't know squat about that china doll face.

Yeah I agree saving Catherine did at least redeem the character. I knew he had to go when Grissom returned but killing him off was unexpected, by me anyway. Thanks for responding.

I had figured Keppler would be a "short-arc" character, but I didn't think they woul dkill him off like that. Although, the way the back story unfolded, it was the only non-lame way to write him out. But, at last, Grissom is back and going to open that freakin' box! I'll be interested to see how they explain the other guy confessing to the first three mini-murders and blowing his head off now that it is obvious someone else did it.

I think the character was purposely written to be short llived. How controversial and mysterious they were making him made it pretty well a guarantee he wouldn't be a long member of CSI. It allowed them to explore something they couldnt' with their main cast, and it was interesting and great to have something mixing it up - but I figured he wouldn't be around for long (though I wasn't expecting that dramatic an exit) As for CSI, it looks like they're going back to the miniature guy next week, which sounds like fun!

Yeah the Keppler character was just a short term thing but I do wish they had not make the choice to kill him off. I would of enjoyed him returning from time to time just to keep the mix going. I am looking forward to the return of the miniature guy's story line...will be interesting to see where they go with it. Thank you for responding. :)
