I think you are a Microsoft fan and wants to support its products, else you would not have come up with such a comment. One of the worst and insecure browser is IE. I stopped using it long time back and just cant think of using that browser. To me firefox is the best and it is much matured that IE7. Even opera is much better than explorer. By the way IE7 got many features copied from firefox. Not only that you wont miss firefox in any OS since it supports a whole lot of OS.

Internet Explorer is less safe than Firefox for the simple reason there is more market share in a browser that is packaged with an operating system - more or t=less -the- operating system. Yes, in the development of Firefox, there has been more vulnerabilities and what not, but that's usually because people mess with the out-of-the-box settings that you get when you originally install firefox. The inverse is true as well though, modifying firefox the right way can make it even more secure and reliable. Install the right addons, configure them the right way, and you've got one of the safest browsers out there. The problem is, Firefox is easier to use. That means it's also easier to break, or change things to make it perhaps "not as safe". Internet Explorer has a very meticulous way of providing the most difficult way possible of modifying, altering, or changing things, which has both its ups and downs. Yes, right now, Internet Explorer -might- be safe, but how safe is it really? Let's put it this way. Cnet, and downloads.com did a 5-member panel survey, and they all gave their feedback. FF 2.0 won on all accounts.

I believe that there are far too many exploits targeting IE roaming around for me to actually think about going back to using it. I've used Firefox from its very first version and, although there were some bugs before, it wasn't nearly as troublesome as those that I got from IE.

Well i will never use Internet Explorer. It's the browser that has crashed, and come up with more errors for me than any other browser. Right now I am using Mozilla SeaMonkey.

First of all your link not working.hilarious. Secondly, your post is not correct. For being student of comp application final year I am saying u, 1.FIREFOX is open source so many extra plugins can be downloaded. 2.It's too good for webmasters and few very good compatible with few particular good languages with which IE doesn't suit well. 3.IE was very unsecure. Many spywares I used to get while I was IE user. And now read 13 reasons to use firefox from the following link http://www.flexbeta.net/main/articles.php?action=show&id=32

I'll stay with my FX but maybe I should consider to save my passwords out of the FX... But I won't get back to the IE until I'm forced to by some sites because I switched only because IE got Hi-Jacked over and over again but FX never. So I'll stick with it. And I speed isn't everything ^^ the feeling is important and with the IE I'm feeling insecure and uncomfortable.

I dont agree at all...I'm using firefox...It's great U have thousands of add-ons comming up everyday which makes your browsing easy n more fun... Where in IE is absurd opening more windows and closing evry now n then.... I love the add-ons in Firefox like cooliris perview, down load embedded videos, Video downloader, etc.,,, Firefox really rocks...

I just updated my IE to version 7 and I was impress with how fast the IE window opens but that ends there. The first thing that pops out at my IE7 was surprisingly a virus protection warning page, and want me to download such virus protection programs. I change my settings and options and change my home page to Yahoo.com then restarts the program and i was again impress with how fast IE starts, then the same page pops out again, a virus protection warning page. Yup! a virus at the maiden flight of my IE7! I will never use IE again. I never had this problem with Firefox..and i mean never.

I agree that FF is not perfect but it is much easier to design for and much faster IMO.

i don;t care about what it says there about firefox, since i used firefox, my browser experience changed, when i used ie my computer was getting full of spyware and other malware programs, when i surf the page's the page was getting full of pop-ups and many many pages with offensive content ! My advice is to use firefox no matter what others say !

First of all, your post is a rushed one. You did not even take the time to check the link that you posted here and nor your facts, I guess. Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but first I would like some extra things. You did not tell us about your background. You are giving your friends some security consultancy, are you a security expert? Second, why are we supposed to trust you and take your claims for granted. The only positive thing about this discussion is that it showed us that there many users out there using firefox. I will not elaborate on the merits of Firefox here, because I don't want to give this discussion more value than it really deserves. Provocation sometimes work I guess ;)

You have no idea what you're talking about and I suggest you stop spreading lies. Firefox is faster and more secure than IE.

I've read some myths in that site you provided. But I still think that Firefox is better than IE. I've been using Firefox for nearly a year and it's much safer to use than IE plus Firefox has many more features. To be honest I don't care that much if they lied about things like they were the best browser in the world, because the experience I've had with Firefox is better than when I used IE.
