Scraches on VCD'S............

If we have scraches on vcd then the movie gets stuck if we play it on computer but when the same vcd is put in vcd player it dosent get stuch.What could be the reason?

It may have something to do with the laser in the player versus the one in your computer. Your DVD-Rom drive on the computer might be more sensitive to scratching or the error handling on the program you're playing it with might not be as good.

Vcd uses inbuilt error correction algorithm to view video with audio from a scratched vcd,also the make of the laser is different from the one used in computer cd-rom.That is why vcd players does get stuck lesser when playing a vcd than a computer cd-rom.

tha trulyy is a thinkable issue...k now listen...i got one of my friend working in top d.v.d reader company...and he alasy talks to me abt the kinda research he and his teammate put up...in develping a software that runs virtually anything..and thas y the gud v.c.d readers are priced much higher that the drives that r attacedt to the p.c...the v.c.d or d.v.d readers arent jus apiece of hardware as we all may think it to be...but it really has sound software that runs the worst of disks....
