the water business

pollution seems to be getting worse. here where i live people have to buy water to drink. its no longer safe to tap water. the water business is booming because of this. how about where you live, can you still drink the tap water?

At where i am now, the city water supply comes from water production processes of either desalination plants and reverse osmosis. Both employs purification of seawater into potable one. So, the common practice here is to use bottled waters coming from selected spring waters or a further purified city water. It is probably due to a high dissolved solids and salts compound that the people here don't use the tap water for drinking.
