My little brother ( he is 16) spent the night with me last night to play Madden with my son , well this morning I had to have him home early and on the way we stopped by drug store and I was walking through there waiting on prescription and I went down an aisle and there he was sticking something in his pocket. He did not see me so I backed out real quick and got my prescription and I asked him when we were waiting in line if he had anything that I needed to get for him and I gave him the look that mother's know and kids hate! well his face turned real red and he reached in his pocket and handed me a pack of cards of some kind and I paid for them . I did not say anything else to him and I did not say anything to my mom yet , but that is what i am scared of how do I bring it up and i know that he will hate me for telling or should I even tell??

If it was me I would mention it to my mum and say what you had done and ask that she doesn't punish him this time but watches out and if it happens again to do something about it. Meanwhile I think you should have a word with him and see if you can find out why he would want to do something like that.

I know they have been having some problems with money so maybe that is it and he was just embarrassed to ask me to buy them for him. I hope that is all it is . I am so scared of my mom though!! LOL!!

A brief discussion will handle this. You and he talk about what he did and what you did for him and why. They you make a stand and if he ever is caught at this again, you will tell the authorities and his parents. Does he know that this causes all of us to pay more for the items in the store? Hasn't he been taught to work for what he wants. Good luck with this. Hoping this was indeed a one time thing!!!
