Is being a good cook part of being a good wife?

When we got married, my wife didn't know how to cook then aside from boiling rice (often burnt), frying eggs and making salads.
We both experimented on lots of things following any recipe we can get hold of and finally, I can proudly say that she is one of the best cooks. I'm the second.

It could be one of the advantage of being a good wife but it shouldn't be a requirement. In our case, my husband is a better cook than me. He really loves cooking. I learn things from him so I can say that I have worked my way to become a good cook as well.
