Ok we are lost, great I really needed this, it 3.30pm. The phone calls start to the Agency, also we are phoning my Son to make sure he is going the right way and not ending up like us.
Ok here I am on a narrow Country Road, beautiful Scenery, trying to turn around, as I know this is certainly not the Way. I find somewhere to turn round, narrow but got there eventually. We can't get hold of my Son, no signal. Great, I don't want him ending up on here with that stupid Van.
Ok I am back where I turned of. Now to guess where I have to go.
Daughter rings the Estate Agent and explains where we are, they are not to sure but they ring us back to say we are to turn of at a certain Road, lovely, I had passed that Ages ago. Here we go again, turn around, go back and find the Place again. We get hold of my Son and guess what? He is on the Country Road, trying to find somewhere to turn around. I am now at the turn off that I am suppose to be taking, but Blondie has got herself in such a state, she drives past it. I turn around again, Daughter is explaining to Son where to go when he has turned round.
Ok I am on the Track, after stopping the Car and throughing a tantrum. We are going down this road, I am still not seeing any signs. Then as I am working up to another Tantrum, hurray I have the Sign where we are suppose to be going. Problem, Estate Agent shuts at 5, it is now 4.40. I have this Vision of getting there and they are shut, which means no Keys. The Estate Agent phones again and asks if we have found the Road, Daughter says, yes we have. They say great see you when you get here. We phone my Son and tell him where to go once he is back on the main Road.
We get to the Town. Great it 4.55pm, how do I get to their Office?
Daughter phones them and they give us Directions, goodness the amount of Roundabouts, I was going Dizzy, I was also in a lot of Pain and tired.
We also had to phone my Friends to let them know that we will not be there at 3 pm like I said we would. So they rang us a couple of times, to make sure we where ok. I get to the Estate Agent, at 4.59pm, only to find out that they would have waited for me anyway, so I panicked for nothing.
Paperwork gets done, I get my Keys. I phone my Friends to tell them that we will be at the House in an Hour, as we had to wait for my son to catch up so he can follow. They say thats ok they will go shopping now and then come down after that. I thought that was brilliant as I didn't think they would that late. My Son rings, he can't find his way to the Estate Agent, here we go again, I tell him to stay and I will come for him.
As we go round the Corner, we pass him, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, the traffic is awful, so I have to turn around and get to him. Daughter phones him to pull over, he says he has. Ok I pull up behind him, I can't go in front as the Car behind me would not have let him out.
Giving directions over the Phone, I tell him I will go in front as soon as I can.
A bit further up I get the Chance. We are on our Way to the Flat and arrive there 10 minutes later. The Bl...y Van won't FIT THROUGH THE GATES AT FIRST! Arghhhhhhhhhhh
Then it breaks down, takes a while to start again, my Son looses it and gets mad. Then, miracle the Van is in.
He then tells me, that he has been giveen a dodgy Van, I was fuman. When I look at my Son, he looks awful, only for his Fiancee to tell me he has been freezing, in pain with his throat and Headache all the Way. We get him in the Flat turn on all the Heating, wrap him in a Quilt and give him some Tablets. I am worried sick as he is determent to drive back. The Girls star to unload the Van, I am unpacking things and keeping an eye on my Boy.
He seems to pick up after an hour and I am glad. He then says, Mum I have bad News. I say, Oh no what now.
Well you know your Bed, I say yes.I left the Bolts for them behind, do I laugh or do I cry?
This is part 2

This is very amusing to read, Gabs, but I can feel your frustration at the time!
I think I would throw the mattress on the floor and sleep there, or at least rest, for the time being, and in answer to your question "Do I laugh or do I cry?" Have a good cry first, my friend; later you will look back and laugh about it all. I hope your son got better quickly and that you got some rest. Am off to read the final episode now! :-) I have a feeling there is going to be more frustration yet, with the computer!
Brightest Blessings, Gabs.

Only you could have that happen! However, as long as you have the mattress thatis the most important thing. When I moved into my new home I had to sleep on the floor because I had a bed but a mattress had a delivery date of SIX WEEKS. I would rather sleep on a mattress on the floor than have a bed complete with bolts but no mattress :-)

Well, let me tell you that your settee is enormous, soft, comfortable and a heck of a lot better than the floor. In fact, I could have slept on it myself, it was so comfortable!

I aso don't know how to react in a situation like this, you should cry or laugh. But I know I would have been go mad in that situation. If you can laugh that's good for you in any situation. Good that after all this you handle the situation and went to the good end. Hope you are seting your new house well. Good Luck!

Oh boy you really got lost Gabs, what a mess you got yourself into Gabs, oh dear the real estate did not give you the key to your new home yet. That is dreadful in here when we are renting they have to give us the keys as soon as we pay for everything. Oh yes I can imagine the traffic at that time in the afternoon the peak hour. Oh dear that stupid van again. And your poor son with his health like that when he has to try and help you. Oh dear well I do hope that you have your bed now Gabs, what a trip thank you for your lovely discussion I had to read it all, it was really interesting.

Well - moving / re-locating usually does take a few days. Not sure if it's because this part 2 was left open-ended, like leaving the bed screws behind - something that could have been stuffed into a pocket & taken along that way, or it was just "oops - forgot soemthing" situation. I do, however, see part 3 of this coming soon. Hopefully, it'll be a better adventure. Good luck with it.

I've had some bad moves before. Yours sounds like it is right up there with some of the worse moves. I hope that there is more to this story. I want to know how you got the stuff that you left behind.

I wonder if the van that you were supposed to have gotten would have fit through the gates. Just have that list of complaints ready & be ready to demand some of your money back because of the rental company's mistake.

Well Gabs it looks like we are all waiting for the next episode of the drama. I don't watch soapies, or any TV but I'm sure this is better. Is the next one "Blondie's Bed Bolts"? I do hope your son is OK and that he was able to return safely, without getting lost again.
Looking forward to part 3.

Lololol well I should have had a Camera Crew with me lol like someone said
Yes he made it back safe even though it took him longer as I made his Fiancee promise me to make him stop every hour and to ring me and they did. He is better now I am glad to say
