Have you used the new silicone bakeware?

I love them! My husband and I boought some at a local kitchen outlet and you dont have to grease them of worry about spilling! Cakes just plop out after a few minutes of cooling, and the muffin/cupcake "tins" are sensational! Of course, there are the lightweight "cheapies" that wont last long and the medium to higher range priced items that are a little thicker and heavier, (I stick to the medium proced) so be carefull what you choose!

I always stop and look at them. I think, how do they go in the oven? How do they go into the oven? Do they sit on something to keep them from going over or does the weight of the batter make them firm? Thank you for bring this up, because no I know has ever used them.

I used to think the same thing - do I put them on a baking sheet ot no? You dont need to, the batter, casserole and/or meat firms them up.

Thanks, Bee. I was wondering what they were like. I've seen them and wanted them for a long time, but I was worried I might have wasted my money. No one I know has them yet so it's great to have some feedback. I will start with one or two cheapies (maybe the muffin "tins") - and then move upmarket. Thanks again!

I have one but I've been concerned about it spilling or melting. After reading this I will start using it. Thank you.

I got those for Christmas, and I absolutely love them. I love to bake, but hate the clean up so its really nice having these.

Ohh, I love mine! I have the muffin tin and am hoping to get some more pieces. I also have the silicon hot pads/pot holders and oven mit. All of these things just pop into the dishwasher. They also fold for storage if need be. You can't hurt them!
