Sehwag fails again!! Scores only 19

Many, including myself, believed that Virender Sehwag should be given another chance. He was given a chance. He wasn't firing as an opener. He was sent in the middle order. But he failed again scoring just 19 off 23 balls. The platform was set for him by a blistering 54 by Sachin and a well compiled 62 by Ganguly. He just needed to bat out the fifty overs but he couldn't. Now what do you think. Should he be taken to the Caribbean? The last date for selecting the World Cup squad is tomorrow. So we can't test him for the remaining two ODIs unless the BCCI requests for more time.

Hi nishant, i've repeatedly suggested already in this forum that the present chance should have been given to mohamed kaif instead of sehwag. This fellow has been sorted out and even if the bowler fails, he makes sure to get out himself in irresponsible ways imaginable. Kaif is a player in the mould of azharuddin, capable of playing out in slow pitches (remember, he was the best indian batsman in our previous caribbean tour in the odis) and an excellent fielder, significantly better than sehwag. Atleast this is not too late, the selectors can announce kaif's name in the fifteen and can include him for the remaining 2 matches in the middle order instead of sehwag. Atleast he will make a more sincere attempt to gain form and serve team india better. Thanks.

ya verender sehwag fails again . he scored just 19 runs of 23 balls .he has to give atleast one chance in the next match .because when saurav ganguly had failured so many times in the past ,the selection committee had given more chances in the matches .

The team management should come up to help him in this situation instead of taking up the issue harshly. I believe that Sehwag is a very talented cricket and a real match winner. So, he deserves a place in World Cup team. But if he continues to fail in this way, the selection committee will have no options but to let him stay outside the WC Squad.
