Don't reply to it if you are here for money only. As there are many discussions on this topic already, I'm nearly 100% sure this one will get deleted. But still if you are a generous person wanting to help, please hear me.... It's late night here. Really really late & I'm on net just because I can't get sleep in my eyes. I'm thinking of mylot and its post. I want my head clear for some heavy sleep but fail everytime. Tossing in bed. Please give some sound advice. Ummmm.... For now I'm going to sleep ,so have your time :)

ugh! used to drive me crazy when I couldn't sleep okay you need to work out why? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomnia Read a Psychology Book and you will be snoring your head off before you got through the first chapter. Go play Neopets.com and the tedium of Suteks Tomb zen mode you can play for ever :D Destructo Matic 2 on zen http://www.neopets.com/games/play.phtml?game_id=306 Switch off and do not drink coffee, coke or eat an hour before bed, get off the sugar and no chocolate. Try to meditate http://www.how-to-meditate.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditation It helps believe me. Don't lie there staring at the ceiling screaming in your mind because you cannot sleep or getting frustrated. Are you sleepy yet, yawn. Don't get over tired and don't sleep late in the morning. My Mum does this when she cannot sleep "Move into your ideal house and furnish it with the furniture you want, go out and buy it. Money is no object and there are NO obstacles. The carpet fitter will be on time, the suite will fit in the lounge, the bathroom with be perfect. If you get through the house before you go to sleep then go and fill your dream wardrobe" Believe me I have only ever got as far as the arranging what sofa and colour I wanted in the lounge :) Blessed Be

I too have insomnia- let me give you some ways I get some sleep or at least try to... I wont lay down in bed unless I am very tired and sleepy. Sometimes I take a bot bath and that actually relaxes me, and then I read. And sometimes I have to take a tylenol PM or some herbal medicines used to help one sleep. If the problem persists, I would talk to a dr or pharmacist and see if they can recommend something that can help you-here is some info The herb called the valerian(which I sometimes use) has been found to be a very effective aid for sleep, and numerous studies conducted by many different scientists have supported this claim. The herd is also among the most researched of all herbal supplements and will prove to be a great help in beating back insomnia. Rotate its use for best results with other herbs that have a sedative effect, herbs like the chamomile, the kava, and the passionflower are the best choices in this regard. The herbs can help bring down stress levels and will promote relaxation when taken in the form of pills, as herbal teas, or in an herbal tincture form-a person using them will find it easier to fall asleep and beat back the other symptoms related to insomnia. The synthetic version of melatonin, the body’s own sleep hormone can be sued instead of valerian to bring relief from insomnia. The use of this synthetic hormone is of particular benefit to insomniac individuals who are not getting sleep due to some chronic pain in the body. Supplements of the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), which can effectively inhibit nerve impulses within the body, can be rotated with valerian and melatonin to induce sleep. The use of this compound can also prevent stress-related signals arising in the body reaching the brain-this will help reduce stress related sleep disorders. The valerian and melatonin can also be rotated with another compound called 5-HTP –which is a form of the amino acid tryptophan - this compound will raise the levels of the natural sleep-inducing chemical serotonin within the body, effectively aiding sleep.
