if the person has spent time in jail and have recently been released it is possible that while in jail he worked on changing his behaviour and won't do it again. Unfortunately, though, alot of people who go to jail think it is a joke and do the same crime again. Whether they spent time in jail or not though, i think that the public has a right to know about this kind of thing so that they know to be cautious around this individual.

Absolutely,I am not judge mental just very cautious. Where children are concerned, we should have Everything needed to protect them. In my country they are looking at it now. A little late but rather late than never. The track record of rehabilitating pedophiles are unfortunately not very successful, so either there is something wrong with the rehabilitating system or they can't be rehabilitated and until such time there can't be to many cautionary measurements put in place to protect children

Yes you have a right to know. The repeat rate for pedophiles is horrendous. Far too many of them are repeate offenders and for your safety you should know. Yes some do change, it does happen on occassion, but on the chance they haven't then you need to do all you can to protect you and your family.

I do, but I dont, this is why. My sisters ex boyfriend went to jail because he slept with a 14 year old, he was 18 at the time, he didn't know she was 14 she was at a bar with her mom at 2 in the morning. So anyway he got in trouble, along with 10 other guys for the same girl. He is on that list now because of that. He really didn't know. Now he has to deal with that for the rest of his life. Heres the other reasion I am sort of against it. He use my mothers address for a long time, even though he didn't live there... so what good would it do if there mail was delivered somewhere else? I do think you need to be able to know about it, but at the same time I think it should be on a need to know basis.
