What does Valentines Day mean to you? Is it a day for love and romatance or it just another excuse to go out and spend money that you don't you have or need to spend? I am just curious what your thoughts are.

its just another day to go out and spend money you dont have on somebody that has been treating you like a dog for the past week and really doesnt deserve anything you give them on that day

Valentine's Day is a day to spread love to people around you and also to those special persons. However, for me, the act of spreading love, communicating love, is not only done on Valentine Day, instead it is done everyday, so for me, everyday is Valentines day hahaha It is not an excuse to buy something or spend money, because love doesnt means that you have to spend on something. Love is the feeling and commitment between people, and that doesnt need to be proved by some cards, teddy bear, flower etc2, instead it needs to be proved by your every day action. But I gotta admit, that many guys use Valentines Day as a chance to show their affection to their girlfriends, and I must say that I also feel happy if my boyfriend show special attention for me on that day, but it is not a must. What is the point of feeling loved for one day but not for any other days? I would prefer not feel loved for a day, but always feel special and loved in any other days :)

That was very well put, thank you. Yes I agree, loving the person you are with everyday instead of once a year is much better. :D

I think ideally, it's supposed to be a day of sharing love to people around, not necessarily people we love. I spent mine in class preparing for a test. I'm single and things don't seem to work out between me and the ladies. We greet and joke but maybe i don't have the will power to ask any out.
