I was soooooooo sick and tired of coming upon sites that wanted me to pay them for lists of mystery shopping companies "out there"! So, after searching, and searching, I found them myself and now want to share them with you so that you can avoid any scams out there! I work as an Independent Contractor in both mystery shopping & merchandising (although some merchandising companies have hired me as an employee, too). I DID NOT have to pay a red cent to sign on with, or take on any assignments with any company. I'm giving you three of the best (in my opinion) resources "out there" that are legit! There are others I'm sure, but these are chock-full of information! Everything and anything you want to know about mystery shopping. First is a forum board that has TONS of information & discussion about all aspects of mystery shopping & merchandising. Volition: http://forum.volition.com The next two are legit resource sites that both have job search banks and are accessed by the major companies that use both mystery shopper and/or merchandisers. Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA): http://www.mysteryshop.org/searchmspa/ National Association For Retail Marketing Services (NARMS): http://www.narms.com/s_indiv.html NOW you may see MSPA and NARMS offering certification for a fee, but YOU DO NOT NEED CERTIFICATION to be a mystery shopper or merchandiser! I don't have any certs from either and my work is a full-time job! So, go on ...... soak up the info & make some money!!!!

Oops ... I failed to mention in my original post here that the VOLITION forum site also has a very EXTENSIVE listing of both mystery shopping & merchandising companies you can sign on with. The URL to each is listed and it opens in a new window for your convenience. Just scroll down the forum page and you'll see it there! The minimum I've see assignments for is $5.00 and that's for about 15 minutes of your time. There is a wide variety of pay rates; per job; depending on the company and the time/work involved. Have fun!
