I always come across about judging a bike capacity by its engine power or "cc". I own a bike too. Can you explain what actually is this cc??

cc is displacement in cubic centimeters. each internal combustion engine has at least one cylinder and the quantity displaced when the piston moves up and down is measured in cc. it generally depicts how powerful the vehicle is

hi.. cc is the short form of "cubic centimeter".This is used to show the size of the Engine,(ie- the bore and stroke length)it can also be called as "Displacement".If CC is higher then the power of the Engine is also higher.for Eg,Maruti 800 denotes the power of Engine is 800cc.

The cc in a bike stands for cubic centimetre. The term cc refers to the volume of gas that your engine consumes. For example a 150cc engine consumes 150cc of vaporized petrol. It is the same explanation for cars, trucks and even railway engines for that matter.
