This is strange. What happened?

My star is up to 9, but my average earning is down. Anyone knows why? If the star is down and the earning is down I can understand, but this is not the case. What do you think happened?

That is an excellent question. I had no idea your earnings depend on your star rating. How weird that you could lose money because someone doesn't agree with your posting?

Don't worry though, I'll be giving you a + for a long time. You have valid and interesting discussions and posts.

well if they rated me negative I guess there is nothing I can do about it, it's their opinions, but then my star will go down too won't it? LOL I'm puzzled

You star rating and your earning have nothing to do with eachother. Your star rating is based on ratings given to you by other users. Your earnings are based on your discussions, replies, comments, pictures, referrals, etc.

LittleMel - earning on mylot seems to be dependant on so many variables that I am not sure how it works. I am in the dark and wish someone would explain it to me too. Sorry I can't be of help!

it means reputation. supposedly if your reputation is good your earnings will go up too or at least stay the same. But I heard other people experience the same today, their star is up but the earning is lesser.

You have to get to a hundred postings for your star rating to show up.

I think I agree with respondant #5 in that I don't think they're related to each other. But, I noticed that when my star was a 10, I seemed to earn less. When it went back to a 9, I seemed to get more. So, I dunno. Maybe I post more when I'm a 9 than when I'm a 10.
