I'm a catholic though not a active one. My faith right now is waivering and I need some insites from any of you, any religion or beliefs are welcome. 1. They said: God will provide - Then why are there so many people who are poor? 2. They said: God gave us our children because He knows we can be good parents and can provide for them - Then why do poor people have more children and the can-afford ones have a hard time conceiving? 3. They said: God has a great plan for each of us and will work it out in His own time. - Then why do they also say, we control our destiny and why did God gave us free will. Also how would we know if that is His plan for us or not. Maybe I have more questions but in the meantime, lets start the conversation with just those 3 items. Thanks in advance.

1. God will provide. We cannot just pray and do nothing. Mana will not fall from heaven. We have to earn our keeps. There is a saying that best describes this: Pray to God but keep rowing in the shore 2. God gave us children because we can be good parents. Children are God's gifts. But God also gave us free will. So we can choose what is good for us. The poor people they know they cannot support many children and yet they create children which in turn adds to the population. I call this iresponsible parenting. Why conceive kids if you cannot give them a decent future more so even a decent home. Rich people will always complain they have no time or that they are too stressed from their work or their businesses they rather rest, go to sleep than conceive children. So as you see here we have a choice. 3. God has a plan for us. God gave us free will but only up to choosing the best way to fulfill his plans for us.

I forgot. We will know if it is God's will when everything we do seems to fall in the right place at the right time.

(continuation) but theere is a different perspective, which was abundance mentality (I just forgot what book that was). You can give more when you have this kind of mentality. The point is, there are a lot of blessing, graces, you just have to look for it. Like, people see problems as problems, but some people see problems as opportunities, we just have to look for it. It's a cliche but it is true. You are asking these questions in your mind not because your faith is waivering but because you want higher understanding, higher perspective.

i would try to answer #1. There are so many factors why there are people who are poor but God did not do that to them. in the book "God wants you to be Rich," is about how & why everyone can enjoy material & spiritual wealth. wealth is a matter of perspective, a certain way of looking at things, a higher perspective. An example when people hoard things thinking that wealth is limited.
