I love Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Cheesecake. As soon as fall gets in full force, I begin craving it! I don't stop craving it till spring. I don't just want any Pumpkin Pie or Pumpkin Cheesecake, I want a good one. One that taste like pumpkin and yet has spices that add to the taste but not take it away from the taste of pumpkin. I like a Graham cracker crust on my Cheesecake but on my Pie, I want plain crust. Yes, I admit it I want the perfect Cheesecake and Pie! My husband of 28 years, knows of this weird craving. He tries hard to help me. He surprised me with dinner at Bob Evans and he ordered desert, something that we normally do not do. He ordered One piece of Pumpkin Pie and 2 forks. It was so romantic! The pie, however was not up to our standards as far as taste goes. The next week, he surprised me with dinner at Olive Garden. Now, I must admit, Olive Garden is my all time favorite place to eat. Again, he ordered desert. This time it was one piece Pumpkin Cheesecake with 2 forks. Awww! Romantic again but the taste was not perfect. At this point, my craving is really strong for the perfect Pumpkin Cheesecake and Pumpkin Pie. I began searching for my recipe. While searching, I came across a recipe that I had not tried yet. I glanced over it and began tweaking it with my pencil. Thus a new recipe was made. I prepared this Pumpkin Cheesecake and it is Perfect. I have since made over a dozen of them. They are so yummy. My husband and I ate all 4 of them. Now I need to make more. I thought that I would share this recipe with you. Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake 2 Large Graham Cracker Crust or 3 smaller ones 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice 1 - 15 oz can Plain Pumpkin 4 1/2 packages Cream Cheese (softened) 1 cup plus 3 Tablespoon Brown Sugar 2/3 cup granulated Sugar 4 eggs Mix everything except eggs, mixing well after each addition. After mixed well, add eggs, do not mix too long after the eggs have been added. Bake 325 oven till set in the middle. Tip: Before heating the oven, place small baking pan with 1-2 cups water on oven rack below the center rack. This will prevent the pie from cracking as much. Leave the water in oven during the baking and cooling process. Place pie to cool for at least 6 hours. Top with whipped topping and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice

You are the only person in the world that I would respond to anything to do with pumpkin about! I absolutely detest pumpkin and can find NOTHING nice to say about it! Alright, the color is pretty! ~Donna

You know...I really wish I could eat these things you talk about! I love pumpkin pie!!! And I love pumpkin cheesecake. But like you...it has to taste right! And for some reason...I really really dislike the pumpkin Custard pies. They have to be the Hearty pumpkin pies! There was this place in Northern California that every year they opened their pumpkin patch. They made the BEST pumpkin pie I have EVER tasted!!! I sooooo wanted their recipe...but of course, it was a secret. LOL So, every weekend of the season, I would drive out to the pumpkin patch and pick up a pie! The were made fresh every day and they had a hard time keeping them in stock. LOL Oh, how I miss that pumpkin pie! Wonderful blend...just so perfect!

My brother does not like cheese cake so I only put 3 packages of cream cheese in a few pies and he loved it. I didnt change anything else from the recipe above except the cream cheese.

Oh I crave it and as I always have plenty of Australian Blue Pumpkin available I try and make it every few months. And best of all I get to eat it myself as the kids arent too fond of it, they prefer the plain old mashed pumpkin or preferably pumpkin soup.

I love pumpkin pie. Its about the only kind I will eat. I'm not sure if I would like the cheesecake one as I am not a cheesecake fan. Thanks for the recipe.I might try it but if you have one for just a regular pumkin pie, then I would be very interested.
