My husband and I have been married 28 years. I love being married. He is my best friend. He still opens the car door for me and holds my hand when we cross the street. One thing that we do to keep romance in our lives is to have a date once a week. We hardly ever spend any money on these dates but we enjoy each other's company. Sometimes we just watch a movie and have a snack together. These are so much cheaper than purchaseing commercial deserts and we like them better. I often make mug mixes for our snack. This is our favorite. He like cinnamon bun and I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. So we have our own individual deserts. It is romantic to have a warm treat while spending time together. My marriage is important to me. I plan on spending Eternity with this fine man. Here a couple of the recipes are our favorites. They also make great gifts for collage students or elderly gift baskets. Enjoy!

Congrats on being together for so long. It sounds like you two having something very special. Thats great. And what a nice idea about having a date night. My boyfriend and I love peanut butter cups, so that recipe will come in handy. The coffee cake one sounds good too. Thanks for some more wonderful ideas and Valentines day will be here soon. What perfect timing you have.

Wow, how romantic! I wish my husband would take me out also! We have been married 20 years but he is not like your husband. I love him and wish he would be more romantic. We hold hands when we cross the street, he gives me a kiss when he goes to work, he tells me I love you but we don't go out!

How very very romantic you are blessed to have such a wonderful relationship. 2 weeks ago a couple at our church celebrated their 65th wedding anniversity. When the lead pastor (in his lat 40s) asked if they had any advise for "us kids" the couple said, "Just show your love daily for the other."
