Mylot complainers

Why do people come to mylot just to complain about their earnings? People don't you realize that you can't make a living here. I realized this long ago and at this point the discussions are fun (when I find interesting ones that is) and I get to express my views and opinions without being scrutinized for it. The little bit of pocket change that I do make is just kind of a perk for putting my time in here and I don't expect to be able to pay my bills with it. I just read a discussion where someone was ranting and raving and basically carrying on because they are missing a few cents from their account. I also read somewhere else that we are supposed to post and respond to quality discussions. If the mylot administration feels that we are not preforming as required then yes I could see them taking away earnings therefore what does that tell you? Only post and respond to the quality discussions so you don't lose the little bit of earning you do make here. Now I would like everyone elses feedback and comments on this. I don't care whether you agree or disagree with me I just want your view on the situation.

I don't worry about this at all because if anything, when myLot does go back and readjust it's earnings for any reason mine typically go up. People should never complain about losing free money. If you started with zero, made five buck and then lost ten cents there is nothing to complain about. Nothing at all. Eventually these people may go away because they will think that myLot isn't worth the time or the money. That leaves a bigger pice of the pie for the rest of us. So for now I'll continue to do my thing here and if I make enough to get paid great, if I don't, great. Afterall it is free money that I am playing with here!

i agree. let them do their complaining thing, it's part of a natural pruning cycle. I found this site through yahoo answers and i like it much more because people actually leave longer, thoughtful responses and we get paid a little (key word, little). I look at the money as an added bonus to the feeling of superiority i get as a know-it-all when i answer someone's question.

I know what you mean. I've pretty much just started telling them that if they don't like myLot they should just leave. I think the next step is going to be removing these people from my friends list. I just get so sick of people coming here and complaining about how awful myLot is and how much they hate this site. Get real! If you hate the site, leave! No one is making you stay! I actually read one the other day that said that myLot should start paying us $1 per post. Obviously this person doesn't understand the concept of profit. If myLot were to pay us much more than they do now, they would soon have to close the site as they wouldn't be making any money from it. If they were to pay $1 per post as the person suggested, I'd bet they'd be broke in less than a day!

I saw that tons of posts were just made whining about their losses. (a matter of cents.) I'm still new to this site, but so far I enjoy the conversations. If this wasn't a pay site (but with less adds .) I'd probably still be here, just for the conversation. But somehow the money does make it feel just a tad more worthwhile. "Penny for your thoughts" takes on a new meaning. But I find it rather enjoyable, and interesting. I wish other people would get into the spirit of this place. Though, I am glad that they base pay on the review rates, lengths of posts, quality. All of that I think will help the site in the long run. But I'm a fan of mylot, and if you don't like the site you should probably just leave instead of complain. It's not like they're cheating us out of money, we didn't really invest anything into the site but some time. Time that would probably have been spent on jsut another internet site, so what's the problem?
