The only way I would take my cats on a plane is under my seat. Not everyone loves our animals like we do. Before you move (if you haven't already), if you are going to try one of the calm down meds, I would suggest giving it to the cat once before hand to see how they react. We tried my cat Ashley on a calm down med and it made her more stressed out than without the med.

I have got some calming tablets, and was going to try them on the cats before we go. I'm hoping that only one of the cats will need them as he is a little hyperactive and doesn't like to by in his box. Whereas the other will just sit there. We have a specialist company who are going to deal with the travelling, so hopefully the cats will have better treatment than the norm!!

Im not sure about cats, but my uncle takes his dog in planes in a wee box thing that goes under the seat. Im not sure how far he travels with it but he seems o think the dog doesnt mind. It might be different if it's such a long flight. Might be a bit shan, it wouldnt be able to go to the toilet or anything.

The airline has said that they will have to go in a special hold they have for animals (heated and seperate from the luggage), so thats not too bad. The cat boxes we have for them are big so we're going to put newspaper shreds in one end for toilet use and hopefully they will be ok. (fingers crossed).
