Can you go to heaven if you were never baptized??

My boyfriends uncle is dying and hopefully he won't die tommorow on Valentines Day. Anyways, he was never baptized and on top of that he drank himself to death. So I was wondering if you weren't baptized if you went to heaven or not??
If you are a big fanatic can you put an insert from the bible in your response. I just want to be really sure.

I've never been baptized and i know that I am going to heaven when the time comes for me. Knowing if you are going to go to heaven or not does not depend on if you are baptized or if youve done alot of good deeds. You don't have to do something to get to heaven. You have to make a choice. A choice of excepting jesus as your savior. Knowing and acknowledging that he saved you from your own self from the sin that we've done.

Then I guess I don't understand. During battle in the wars, when one of our troop members are dying they train wanting soldiers how to give a last minute baptizm just incase. Why would they do that??

Everyone has a different opinion based on their religion and their interpretation of the religions teachings.
The way I see it - baptism is not necessary to get to heaven. The bible clearly states that to get to heaven you simply need to accept Jesus as your personal savior. Baptism is a way to show publicly that you have made that decision.
