I had a brain tumour operation on 8th dec 2006.I'm confined to my own room from september 2006,thats when my tomour started making my left limbs weak. Now after the operation with so many medicines going on I'm feeling extremely claustrophobic. But unfortunately my father had a major heart attack within a month of my brain surgery and my mother has to look after him and thera's nobody to take me out.I cant go by myself because of 2 resons:1.I'm prone to convulsion,2.I need somebody to support me because my left limbs are weak. Moreover my parents get worried if I go out alone. This way I'll turn mad in a few days.If anybody knows the remedy PLEASE help.

I'm sorry about what you and your family are going through..Your post caught me because I am also claustrophobic. It is very hard for me to breath when I am in a confined space with no windows, I can't take thought that I am inside a contained space without any exit but the door. I could suggest though that you have one of your closest relatives come in at a certain time and walk with you outside so that you can also get some air. Your mom is a very brave woman to handle this situation. My heart goes out to your family. If you do find a solution to fight claustrophobia pls let me know. =)

I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through. I will pray for you all. I do not have a solution for Claustrophobia other than getting out of the house, as you stated. Can perhaps a friend or other relative help you to walk each day? I think the exercise and feeling of wellbeing from getting out of the house would also aid in the healing process for you. There may be volunteers in your area as well that could be contacted for medical assistance that may help. I wish you the best of luck!
