I would be pretty upset if my parents, if I had parents, went without me. We take a vacation every year and our 21 year old son went every time. I just couldn't see us going without him, although it would have been nice a time or two. :)

In my life,i am centering my live around them.So i take my child wiht us during vacation and tour.If without the child,i will put all my thought on them. That is not good for us.When they are adult,we will do it by ourselves.

I see your point here webmann. I would never in a million years go anywhere fun (like disneyworld or a waterpark)without the kids. Once in a while my husband and I go to a movie or motel(for one night) without them just for a short break. I couldn't be away from them for more than a day or two because I would miss them too much.

I think parents who take some time to go on a date without their children are smart. This gives them a chance to reconnect as a couple. Many parents find they are able to be more patient with their children if they take a short break from their parental responsibilities.

That seems short break will make parents knowing children better.Although parents loved their children, they make some misconstrue. When they leave for severy days, they will do the responsibility well.

My parents have taken holidays without me many times, and i love it. That leaves me home alone, the whole house for me, i can do what i want, no schedules and all that. I can make a party, etc. Obviously I don't think parents should do that if the children are little, but from like 18 on, why not, they're adult enough at that age to take care of themselves for a few days, at least i was at the time.

That is what i think.Without parents, there is no limit for doing at home. And don't forget to clean the rooms before parents come back.

No for me.I think it will let the children being independent without parends. At the same time parents are willing to grant the children some freedom that they demanded for themselves. In this way,a good relationship will be build between parents and children.
