is it necessary to celebrate this day. there are so many other important things to look after than celebrate something like this. love as it is should be something to celebrate daily, and not just one day

it is a good day to show your love to all the people u care about and matter to you. Today, it has been associated only with a relationship b/w girl fiends and boyfriends and husbands and wives and lovers. Actually,it is a day to show ur love and thanking ur parents as well as friends ho u love too..Cheers

yes, Love is not only to be associated with lovers but others too-like parents, friends and family as well. Valentines should be celebrated by children to express and return their love to their loved ones- so why not !!! Cheers

You are right love should be celebrated daily, but it also should be one special day that people can get out of the house and be alone and celecbrate that love and show each other how much they are appreciated and loved by their partners. It is a great day for lovers and partners to get engaged on also.

You are right, we should celebrate love everyday, but so many people don't. It is a reminder that we should show the people that we love how we feel. And I guess one day a year is better then none.

but only people who are young and waiting to get a lover celebrate it with more zeal i feel. people who are really in love just do it with a gift or a dinner, so much hayfire isnt in them. what do u think

I am not against Valentine's Day but sometimes I think why people celebrate being lovers or couples when there is no special day celebrating the singletons? I think being single has many advantages and things to enjoy too, but people just make them look or sound sad on the Valentine's Day and I don't think that's being fair. I also think it's the commercial world which dramatize the importance of Valentine's Day so that we could basically raise the prices for everything. I don't mind celebrating it for fun when I am with someone, but I don't think it's a must.

psychologically when every other person is invovled with a lover on tht day some might find it odd or feel lonely. the day is surely drametized no doubt, its given too big an attention

I support fully Valentine's Day celebration!! Many people and organizations in my country India are against Valentine Day because they believe that Valentine's day is ruining the culture of the country and hence they protest against it. But I am against this protest and in support of tha fact that V-Day should be allowed to be celebrated because it spreads lots of love, just like any other public festival. The feeling of seeing lovebirds being happy in each others company gives me great happiness and satisfaction.
