Claire ... Petrelli ...

Okay. So I'm wondering. What do you think Nathan's reaction will be when he realizes that the 'cheerleader' his brother went to save, the one he tried to stop Peter from going to save ... was actually his own daughter? And that if he'd managed to stop Peter, he may have gotten her killed? Or just the fact that the 'cheerleader' that saving would save the world ... is his kid? Just wondering!

Despite his outward, self-serving attitude, I think Nathan Pettrelli is a person who cares deeply for family. When he does realize that the cheerleader that Peter saved is his daughter, this will affect him very deeply. Despite the briefness of his visit to Meredith and his almost callous response about not needing to meet Claire, his expression alone tells that it was also a difficult moment for him. Furthermore, once he realized that the people closest to him are blessed with special powers, this might forced him to acknowledge his own and maybe fully embraced it. For now, all these are suppositions. We can only wait and watch with bated breath.

Interesting question. I think that Nathan will still want to keep as much distance from her as possible. I think he is very self-centered and probably would not have felt very guilty if he had stopped Peter and she was killed and later he found out that she was his daughter. I wonder when and how he will make that connection.

I think the realization that Peter saved Claire will make Nathan begin to believe that all the heros are somehow connected like Peter has been telling him. That they are part of some "greater plan."

I think his feelings will change, but I don't think his actions will. He is a politician. He's married and he has an image to protect. I don't think there is going to be some magical "oh my long lost daughter" moment with Claire.

Well I think from his reaction when he just looked at her picture, I think he will understand what should be important in his life, and it is not his election. At least that is what I would hope that a father who loves his child would do, let her know that she is important, and that he does love her. He knows that she is the one that threw the rock, you could see the look on his face. What I want to know is what is Claire going to think when she finds out that Nathan can fly. Love your post by the way, and love the show! :)

Wow, I hadn't even thought of that whole connection. So Peter saved his niece. Maybe that's why he felt such a connection with her...they are actually family. It's interesting how there are several couples on the show where both people have powers. How do they find each other? What other power will they come up with next?

Nathan acted just like I expected him to which is to try to brush aside and not want anything to do with her. It will be very interesting how this knowledge of his daughter will play out in future episodes, though.Maybe he will change his attitude.
