I grew up in Virginia and Pennsylvania. I miss the snow very much. The change of seasons is something left to be desired in the state of Florida. Things here are either green or brown. It is so very boring. Enjoy this time, it only comes one a year!!

I hate the snow and cold, but it's part of life in NY state (along with chicken wings and Hockey), so I just put up with it. I hate driving in the snow and trying to find a safe place to park when there are piles of snow all over the place. I have the driveway plowed, and all I have to shovel is my back steps and walk, and I hate doing even that! I would just let it sit there until it melts, but I'm afraid that the mailman wouldn't deliver the mail if it wasn't shoveled!

I know what you mean about the mailman, they wont deliver if it is all snowy sometimes, mine wont put mail in the box if it is not cleaned out around it. Got to love the snow more today.

Well..I have only been to New York a few times..I am sure though.being near to the ocean ..it gets pretty cold?

I thought it was real pretty but then I went out and shoveled. Now places hurt in my body that I didn't know exsisted. My muscles hurt just trying to get the top off the ibuprofen bottle.lol. So, tomorrow is garbage day and I get to unbury the garbage can and drag it to the road. And hope the snowplow doesn't come through and wipe it out. So no, I am not liking this weather anymore.

Lol, i hope you got the ibuprofen open. I know what you mean about finding muscles you didnt know you had when you go out to shovel, i shovel my porch and it doesnt look like i did.

I love it when I'm home for the day with no plans on traveling. It's so much fun to playoutside in the snow. Build snowmen, snow forts, snow angels, go sledding, go tubing. It's great for the fun winter activities... I could do without it for driving in however.
My sig. other plows out neighbors for free.. 2 eldery ladies. So yesterday he was busy plowing ours and their 2 driveways. He had to switch to the snow blower last night because there was so much snow and no where to plow it to.

my hubby plows, and again today as like yesterday he left at 2 in the morning, he did not get home till about 9ish last night. I dont think that he will be that late today though. Oh i hate driving in it too.

i hate it that is the only thing i am not looking forward to when we go back home its really gonna suck but i guess i can live with it as long as we are home and my oldest really misses the snow. i can't stand it i want sun. we have no snow but it is so cold here it sucks.

oh the cold and the snow, i know about having it be cold, i dont like that either, but sometimes it is nice to have some snow but sometimes you do want it just to go.

I love it and I was out driving in it today. it was fun. I might start helping my dad do some plowing. to give him a break

You should see the snow here! We have an incredible amount of snow and it has been snowing almost everyday here for over a week. The snow banks are huge and getting bigger and bigger. In fact as i am typing it is still coming down in incredible amounts outside and i live in Northern Canada!!!
